C5Z with long tubes and exhaust sounds better than the C6Z with same IMO. Obviously the LS7 makes more power NA though.

4.6L, but from chevy the LT sounds better.

Thx! To be honest, my fastest laps were 10+ seconds faster than in the video. Actually i just tested my camera/mic setup there for the first time. Suspension is a Bilstein Callaway setup with some Progress sway bars.

0-175 in one gear....5th gear. It's unreal.

Bought my 427 Convertible last November with 4000 miles on it for under $60K. Most beautiful car I've ever seen. A C6 Z06 is one of THE great American cars ever built and timeless looks. It is truly an engineering masterpiece.

OEM muffler with some mods. The biggest sound difference comes from handmade longtube headers with x-pipe.🍻🍻

Thx mate! It´s an external mic from ZOOM which is placed in the number plate area. But i still testing around, because the sound could be much better in my opinion :)

@@andreaskvalseth7032 should be an H4/H5. Not sure right now, because the car and the equipment are in winter sleep :) The Recorder itself is not connected. I just merge the sound file with the video file afterwards in FinalCut.

Thank you! Were not my fastest laps, just wanted to test the camera and microphone setup. But you´re right, 2nd in tight spots would be a bit faster. Changed already many things, but the car looks almost stock: Suspension, ZR1 spoilers and sway bars. Engine everything NA related except cam. Roll bar, Recaro seats and ZR1 brake(steel). @@halblegal how do you like the ZR1 sways?

@@corvetteZ3r drive something different now. upgrade to zr1 would make everything stiffer, but the handling (especially the loose rear) would remain because both bars are just thicker. I switched to PROGRESS sway bars. so I now have almost the thickness of a T1 (35mm) in the front, but in the rear I am at the thickness of a Z51 (25mm). Now I have a front that is very solid and a rear that twists slightly and thus the rear wheels have a lot of grip and almost no oversteer occurs. But have a roll bar installed additionally.

@@halblegal You've done it EXACTLY the right way, you want that rear end to have the slightest give, or twist as you put it, so that it can absorb road irregularities and just corner better. A lot of people get the ass end too tight and it has a tendency to break traction.

Nice car mate 🍻 In this video (was testing my setup) it was almost all the time the 3rd and on the straights the 4th. The car feels pretty good between 4000 and 7000 RPM. On hot laps i use 2nd/3rd for all the corners and short straights and the 4th for the longer straights.. With this monster torque numbers no need to go to the 1st unless you have slicks.

Callaway Bilstein shocks (silver, Nürburgring settings) ZR1 brake front (steel 390mm rotors), OEM rear Brake pads track-dependent. In video Hawk HPS
