6:30 you really only throw home if the game is literally on the line like if that run scores we lose kinda situation or when the infield is in or like a comebacker to the pitcher with the bases loaded and the reason he just takes the out is because if he throws home and doesn't get the runner (which he most likely dose not) you then have a 1-2 ballgame with with runners on the corners and only 1 out in the inning the 1st baseman definitely made the right decision.

6:21 if the lead was close in the late innings, yes, the dodgers probably would’ve brought the infield in so they could throw home easily in this situation, they were looking for outs and were willing to give up a run

also, this is a tag play at home and not a force play, which makes the play harder to complete. if the bases were loaded, all the dodgers would have to do is throw home to get the out instead of tagging the runner

In the situation where the 1st baseman didn't try to throw home and concede the run is because the throw to the home would have been close and if he beats the throw home he still gives up the run but by not throwing he guaranteed 1 out and the 1 run instead of not getting out at home and allowing another runner on base. That's a damn essay just to say he took the guaranteed out instead of risking everything and not getting anything in return

janky if he throws home prob doesnt get it there in time and ur risking a run and a man on base. He probably had a lead on base at 3rd and ran when it was hit. So he wouldnt have gotten it in time .
