Assists and rebounds? How’s he gonna get assists when the ball isn’t in his hands all the time to be able to make the passes to get assists? How’s he gonna get rebounds when you’ve got AD, Lebron, Howard, all getting rebounds? You think they’re gonna just box out for him all the time the way he had Steven Adams do for him? People act as if you can put a bunch of guys averaging 10 rebs/g together and the team will average 60 rebs/g, when there aren’t that many rebounds available. Use common sense and simple math.

Also - Vogel can best utilize Westbrook -if he's keeping him in the starter role- by making them run plays and not just do one on one's as much as they did. Having Russ in a system that's designed for him cutting off the ball and not shooting jumpers could EASILY smoke his defenders athletically and LeBron can snipe those passes which would create more space for the few shooters we do have.

He'll tear an ACL it's why he stopped he already had quad tears from doing that, his best bet is to focus on rebounding, driving to get the defense to leave shooters open and cutting for backdoor baskets. However the biggest focus is playing defense and getting the other team to turn the ball over or take bad shots.

The thing is, Westbrook NEEDS the ball in his hands. Lebron is best with the ball in his hands (maybe). Lebron can play from the post like they did in Miami. Even as a spot up shooter, the issue isn’t that lebron can’t catch and shoot. He definitely can, his percentages aren’t high because he’s not a deadeye off the dribble step back dude and he takes A LOT of those. But that’s not the best way to use him. But honestly if they want to get to the ship they know it’s about sacrifice. And if they are sacrificing, he’s going to have to play that role. A lot less point. A lot more forward.

This is going to sound crazy but I think LeBron should play off ball. Russ can’t play off ball cuz he can’t shoot. LeBron is a better shooter now and I believe LeBron should sacrifice and play off ball for the betterment of the team. Russ is not a shooter and never will be.
