Good point, but it's not only politicians who don't understand but also privileged youtube content creators, who seem not to understand this concept. With some of them having a mantra and saying: Have more children (regardless of circumstance), to have an adequate replacement rate.
Politicians are all the same. They do understand the problem. They will have to accept that if they want servants and people to continue to exploit....they need to have large immigration policies to encourage people to come to the country or allow illegals to come in. The US has gone this route...allowing illegals to come in. Someone has to be servants to the privileged and the poor here in the US also is slowing their birth rate.

Chinese didn’t marry for love but because of family pressures. Money is the oil that makes a marriage work. When the money dries up the marriage dries up.
As you say “when the money dries up the marriage dries up” This is ever more likely if there was no love involved or even if there is no love, that the woman or man can’t be respectful to each other.
More like Chinese men have option to get laid without marriage now so don't see a point in gifting apartments or cars anymore also most understand if a girl is really interested she wouldn't make high demands men like women talk with each other and have a rough understanding of dating market, Old days bride money was seen as a gift to the girl's parents for keeping her chaste/pure and educating her on Confucian familial duties these factors don't apply in modern China, Unless Government rolls out attractive incentives for having children the trend would continue

I live in Vietnam. People still want to have families. However, the suffering is high for folks without wealth since kids cost money. In Vietnam, a son born into a poor family is screwed because he will not have the money to be highly educated. The parents have to pay for schooling. Big difference for girls. They could be dirt poor and still marry up.
@@michaelbizon444 I have been to Vietnam many times, I have met many elders and learned many things, in wartime and peacetime generations still want to have children no matter how many, even when families cannot provide a good life for their children, they still maintain those things and encourage young people to get married and have children early in their 20s and 30s, that is linked to their history of fighting against China, with being close to a country like China that almost never gives up the idea of annexing them, if their population was like Laos or Cambodia, those countries are now like an autonomous region of China. Of course young people will also reduce the number of children because of the pressure of life and work, I am one of them, that happens everywhere in the world.
This does not just apply to Vietnam, but why is higher education still costing so much? 🤔 Really most things worth learning are already available on the internet, it's just the piece of paper known as a "diploma," that "proves" you have studied, is the only means of validation of study that costs dearly.

Many jobs in China are repetitive tasks. If I lived there I wouldn’t want to have a kid either to potentially end up just doing a repetitive job and have no joy.
This is the same sentiment in many countries around the world, not just China. Even South Korea and Japan have declining birth rates. Marriage and childbirth isn't the priority these days, and it is the person's choice. Never get married and have kids just because you are pressured by society/other people.
But there must be some countries which have higher birthrates too, because the world population is growing constantly and just reached 8 bln people... Which are these countries?

This social norm intertwined with exorbitant cost of bringing up a kid really prompted many Chinese youngsters to dismiss marriages or relationships.
Here's the big issue. On the female side we encouraged them to get high paying jobs and degrees while also telling them to give it all up to have a family. On the guys side you have the potential of the wife leaving and taking 50% or more of all he has. It's a very complicated situation we've created.

Most importantly, spending quality time with them, not just to see them for 15 minutes a day because you are too busy working to survive. Each couple has to decide for themselves whether having children is important to them or not. We couldn't care less about having children in order to pass on the family name. We weren't going to have children simply to make our parents happy. It's not like the old days in which you want to have sons to help you work on a farm. Entering a relationship is also not worth it, women can say they have been abused and the court will accept that as a valid accusation, basically driving men to bankruptcy.
Plenty of people got married before that did not own a house and/or have any money. The problem is that women demand a bridal price, house, and nice car nowadays, while providing little in return, especially building a life with a man. They want the man to be ready-made. So ladies and their parents: lower your expectations, demands, and putting your prospective son-in-laws in horrific and pressure-packed situations. That is no way to treat another human being.
Marriage is mandatory in Chinese culture and only straight marriage between two Chinese people and the man must be over 30 years old and have a house and a car be a doctor or a lawyer not an engineer and have American citizenship and be a graduate from Harvard University with at least a Master's degree if not a Doctorate or Professional degree and the woman must be under 27 years old and full blooded Chinese, must not be promiscuous or too educated and must be a virgin, never married, no kids and no previous boyfriends.
It doesnt. But women naturally default to blaming the husband for any financial difficulty & would rather try their luck getting another man even if the probability is low. Cus women dont think in probabilities. Their thoughts operate in deeply naiive emotions.

All her talk about her coworkers not wanting to marry just means sexual affairs are going on. If a person says they are not hungry, it is because they have been eating.
I don’t think that’s accurate. People can go without sex intentionally for long periods of time and even intend on not dating or marrying ever. It’s common in Asian countries where school, money and work is #1. It also happens often if you’re depressed. I think it’s more realistic that most of them don’t have time to be having affairs because they’re too busy working and doing side gigs to make enough money to survive. China’s economy is in the buckets rn and there are barely any jobs around, let alone jobs that pay well. Not to mention it’s a standard to work from 9am-9pm 6 days a week in China. Overworking is the norm there and everyone is so burnt out they don’t even have time for leisure activities, dating, their families or kids. Having an affair is probably the last thing on their mind when they’re that stressed out, tired, sad and broke. These people have given up of a life they dreamed of because it’s impossible to attain due to the terrible economy and the impossible standards of capitalist culture. Even working hard, getting good grades, getting educated at a good university and being employed isn’t enough. Even beating most of the competition isn’t good enough. What is wrong with people. Living single is a retail company’s dream because you buy twice as much stuff for two households. Two people making money save twice as much money which accelerates return on investments much faster than a single person ever will. A married couple has: One rent payment or mortgage. Cheaper, family oriented healthcare. A person to call for help when you bang your head on a table and go on conscious. A diverse set of skills to help a couple succeed, instead of a single person relying on only their wits alone for every situation in life ,forever… Shared expenses for all utilities; electricity, water, sewage, gas, and so on. On the weekends, typically only one car is used even if you have two cars. Insurance is cheaper in a family because insurance company liabilities are lower If a single person loses their job, they have nothing to fall back on. If one person in a marriage loses their job the other person can still feed the family for a while at least. I could go on and on. Single people are selfishly creating a situation for their own demise.
