Posting this video to help with support documentation for anyone else running into this or a similar issue when having problems mounting a Noctua heatsink onto a non-standard motherboard (it's Lenovo so I'm assuming it is an issue of them producing a non-standard motherboard) or those running into general heatsink mounting issues with this series of Lenovo motherboards.
The included Noctua mounting hardware specified for AM4 motherboards was not sized to work with the motherboard used in the Lenovo Legion T5 26AMR5. Lenovo apparently produced or contracted for an AM4 motherboard that used an intel-standard heatsink mounting scheme in terms of the HSF mount hole spacing.
This computer has a motherboard labeled 'T550 MB AMDP19ME2 VER:1.1' on the motherboard front. On the back it is also labeled as 'B550A4-LM V1.1 15-MY9-011100'. A search for the label on the back yields a Reddit post with someone who had the same problem and damaged their motherboard in the process of removing the heatsink backplate: / cpu_bracket_is_prevent...

I had the exact same issue you can totally use intel back plate and it should work just fine. Have fun!

Hi, is the Lenovo Legion T5 26AMR5 processor cooler compatible with the ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS WIFI II???

Yo, i had the same problem as you(even the same cooler XD) and i was having problems with fitting the backplate also. But i just drilled the holes a little bigger not too much and vacume cleaned the copper that came off from it. Then it went inside and worked just fine.

Oof, risky. I'm glad it worked for you though.

Did you ever get an answer as to which spacers to use?

I'm sorry, I honestly can't remember - it's been a year and I've since sold that computer. I think I just tried slotting in different ones to see how the spacing looked and went with what made sense to me. You want tight compression for your heatsink, but not so much tension as to damage the motherboard.

@@neverendingstudentThanks for the advice, I sent Noctua an email about this and they just told me to return the cooler to the vendor lol

I can confirm that you can use the original Lenovo backplate, the Intel brackets, and the AMD spacers (GRAY). You will need some M2.5 screws if you want to use the Lenovo backplate - I used 20mm. I also used a tiny washer under the screw, as the head of the screw just barely catches the slot in the Intel bracket. You would not have to use the washer, but I wanted that little bit of extra surface area for the screw to catch the bracket. Lenovo Legion T5, AM4 socket, ADM processor (5600G), Noctua NH-U12S cooler.
