Emperors children should become their own army like death guard and thousand sons. I would love noise marines as a troop choice and more slannesh marine models.
As an Emperors Children player (the only army that allows NM’s to be taken as a troop choice), I wholeheartedly agree. As it stands, pretty much all Noise Marines have to be custom built, and a squad of 5 usually costs a minimum of $70-$80. All I want is a model of Daemon Fulgrim, maybe an updated Lucius the Eternal, and one single box of Noise Marines/Emperors Children. They’re an awesome army that can hold their own wonderfully against most any opponent once you learn their intricacies (and especially if you have Slaaneshi daemons tag along for screens/melee combat.) they absolutely deserve to have their own army.
I would be willing to bet money on the sculpts for plastic lucius, daemon fulgrim and noise marines are all done. As to whether we will get it any time soon... anyones guess
Ahh, a mysterious death of an important prisoner in a maximum-security cell who definitely didn't kill himself? Sounds like a job for the Inquisition indeed. Not unlike the mysterious caper of Jyphri Aepsteen methinks!
Reminds me of an opening scene from a Douglas Adams novel: Guy locked in his basement hiding, his remains scattered all around the room, his head rotating on a record player. All doors and windows locked. The police inspector looks around the room for a moment then turns to his partner, “These suicides get crazier every year!”
MNM - Things shall get loud now, I wanna see the marine just burst from the sound and the building shudder from the shockwaves. I don’t want to see the Inqusitors story end here but I don’t want him getting cocky, perhaps this might humble him
@@Audiotrocious All i can hear is the mighty song of The Machine god, and their holy chant of order and knowledge, your pitiful god is nothing to The Machine god and his Omnissiah
That is hilarious, someone needs to write a story about an ork Wagh that includes noise marines and ork made noise marines, imagine orks cramming speakers into every orifice of a captured astartes and then pumping them full of fungus drugs and wagh warp energy till they make noise at the right level.
I always found them the most disturbing, after reading "Fulgrim". Imagining them in the scene after the concert where they picked up the instruments trying to recreate the music while wailing in their misery that the orchestra had ended. That, and the crazy artist chick who ended up using blood and her own shit to paint Fulgrims portrait.
@@TeutonicKnight92 snorting deamonettes?....damn now THAT is some freaky stuff! Sounds like it would be up a Slaanesh worshippers isle.....along with a few other things 😝
MNM . I don't believe that a single Noise Marine popping up is even a thing, that they would almost inevitably appear in a horde. Things would and should subsequently become difficult, but I really don't want the story of our brave Inquisitor and his helpers end here. Not at least because this particular Inquisitor seems to be not an utter, well... asshole, like so many Inquisitors seem to be. This particular one actually seems to be quite nice for a man with this profession and not so utterly detached from the normal human citizens as it seems to be common. So I would love to see him and his group of helpers and servants struggle, but ultimately live through this!
Things shall be loud now!!! Thank you, Baldermort. You have received Slaanesh's blessings for your upcoming debauchery, whatever it may be. Just make sure it's FUN!
@@baldermort hmmmmmmmm....... if the emperor has truly 'stolen' power from all 4 chaos gods then..... did he also gain some of their respective traits? So could he be a bit.. slaanesh?
TRP, most definitely. Guessing what brother Baldy's intention with all these pieces of narratives, these individuals and groups are bound to meet in an epic battle one day... Therefore, it's time to give the chaos boys some victories so they can amass their warband for the future galactic battle royale to come.
aljanat5 right, I hate to do this, but my own Rogue Trader video won’t be soon I don’t think. But someone very good has done on. Just type in rogue traders and it should be the first video you see. He’s huge and all that. I can’t endorse him directly, for a myriad of reasons. But go with him on that one. :).
Just one Daemonette?? A Whole Troupe to Careen & Cavort across the field of battle! This is the Lord of Excess we are talking about! Honor Her abundance - Beseech for dancers to accompany the joyous agonies that the song of Slaanesh!
MNM Baldermort, my good man, are you aware that you have just shy of 50k subscribers? You've blown away other lore channels in a very short time. Way to go! I'm a proud listener, gentle or not.
MNM! I want casualties on all sides. I want to see Noise Marine squad tactics against the Inquisitor and his coterie! Most of all, I want you to keep me guessing as to who will live and who will die. Love this video, Baldermort.
TRP Your narritives are so well given that my imagination " hungers" for some epic reconning to draw me deeper into that reality that is Warhammer 40K.
In the years of my youth I was once at an EDM rave and I might or might not have been under the influence of certain stimulants and hallucinogenic pharmaceuticals at the time, it was a blast, an ecstatic all encompassing feeling of joy and freedom and at that moment my innermost nerd turned my thoughts back to the 40k universe and the noise marines and to how if what I was feeling at that time was even one hundredth of what slaanesh can offer to them I can almost understand why they pledge their souls to the perverted prince in exchange for that eternal euphoria and pleasure, slaanesh Is so subtle in his ways and so permeating in how he invades the lives of men, you don't need to do drugs at an edm festival, you just need to eat that extra piece of key lime pie or get that new pair of sneakers, you just need to indulge a tiny bit, just a little and then a little more, and you'll be opening the doors of your heart to the deafening noise of hedonistic chaos and once that song takes to echo in your soul you will never be free again.
For those curious, and not willing to wait for Baldemort's voice, a very, very brief introduction to how the Noise Marines came about: In essence, it was good old Fabius Bile and his augmentations, combined with Chaos corruption of Remembrancers, and a concert gone very, very wrong.
MNM Well, I'd _like_ to vote TRP, since I think that would make the most interesting story, but I also want to hear more from them, so I'd rather they survived. So, MNM it is.
NM An Astarde of the Emperors Children would never go in force for an assassination. They would go an do just like their captain, the Faltless Blade. . . . N M
TRP Great story at the start. I remember reading the the Fulgrim novel and I still have the twisted horror of it in my memory. The barbs of slannash bite deep. LOL
"COWER IN THE WAVES OF THE GLORIOUS CRIES OF SLAANESH, MORTAL!?!" "Eh? Were you talking to me, dear? It's ok. You can go ahead of me if you like. I only need cat food anyway!" "ERR. WHa?" "That beast is so picky!! Never scratched me though, such a love" *checks amplifier module" "THIS THING ON?" "I just saw Mrs. Fortesque at the bus stop. She's been through it, let me tell you..." "WHO IS MRS.. NO!! SHUT UP, OLD WOMAN!!" "so, her Geoff, Y'know Geoff? He got his leg chewed off by a mutant that time..." "PLEASE STOP! MY BRAIN IS MELTING OUT OF MY EARS!!" "...got a job at the Post Office, if you can believe that! But now he got suspended for opening Holy Emperor Day letters..." *points end of Sonic Cannon under chin* "FOR SLAANESH!!" *EXPLOSION!!!!!!!* "Eh Did you say something, love? I need to change the batteries on this thing"
TRP - I like the idea of a small group, a squad at most, of Noise Marines taking them apart, but you are the masterful author here. As for Noise Marines lore, this is by far one of the most surprisingly welcome chaos factions you've introduced to me. To clarify, I had not known much of them until now, but I am in awe over their capabilities and eccentricities.
Noble Six no author, just a fan. All a group effort really. Remember this is only an introduction. There is way more to say about these horrors. Trust me. ;).
MNM Hi Uncle B, Just found your channel, and I’m really enjoying your content. Your take on the lore is squeued with insights from life experience, and wisdom. As one Rogue Trader old hand to another, thank you.
NM Very interesting I didn't know about these Marines before. But Baldermort I have got an idea of how I can save yourself some work, instead of having us write our vote in the comments you could put a pole in the video itself.
Patron Link: www.patreon.com/join/3510517 Bug report: Yep. Visuals are an issue on this video. More haste less speed. Sorry. Gifs must have made it funky. I’ll try to sort that for the next one. Apologies. :(.
MNM would be cool if the astartes wrestles with one, while the others deal with the other 2 noise marines, i hope the Marine and inquisitor make it out though :(
TRP - Not that I want the heroes story to end but from my experience the more grim dark 40k gets, the more love I have for the heroes that survive especially if it is well written. Your introduction to Rogal Dorn with those three videos have helped me learn much about this universe. That and I always play my games on hard difficulty, not out of masochism but the satisfying reward of mastery over the system, the challenge, and the journey to greatness.
MNM The Grim Darkness of the 401th century is always a little more fun with some added stacks. Special thanks to Lord Baldermort for the information on the Doom Sirens. The long speakers that jut out of the Noise Marines’ armor, and usually resemble screaming demonic faces, is my favorite part of their aesthetic. But I’ve been having a surprisingly hard time figuring out what they were called. 👍
Baldermort, you really need to release the full connected stories you tell as an anthology. You have already written an amazing book of short stories. GW needs your stories.
MNM An upcoming video on the Emporers Children. It's all I've ever wanted. The legion Pre-fall is my favourite. Their primarch pre- fall even more so. They were the best a space marine could ever be. It is because of this I consider what they are now to be one of the great tragedies of the universe and near unsurpassed HORRORS to be feared, loathed and avoided is at all possible. I guess its suitable considering their New God. Such highs, and such lows
Honestly the demon Primarch, Fulgrim might not even have been Fulgrim, but the demon that possessed him and his soul might still be in that painting or in the Clone of Fulgrim body in Tazen the infinits collection.
The Emperor's Children were the exemplars of everything the Astartes were meant to be. So, its "perfect" that their fall was due to the oldest and greatest sin of all...pride. That's was the hook for me. But also if I was going to play the bad guy, I wanted to play the worst of the worst. The only thing more evil than Slaaneshi marines are Slaanesh Daemons.
@@pikachufantastic I would prefer to believe that. When I read Fulgrim by Graham McNeill I was very shocked and confused by the nature of the Fulgrim's corruption. I thought it would be like most of the others. A slow whispering in the ear. A fall of their own misguided decisions. Instead it seemed far more like the straight up subversion of his will. In the rare moments when Fulgrim wasn't around that damned sword he was still resolutely against siding with Horus and the idea of betrayal disturbed him. From the beginning he was being taken over and subverted from within. His hand and mind was being aggressively forced down a road I have zero doubt he would never have done on his own. I think a similar argument could be made for his legion. At first it was localised purely to those had had entered that temple. It was like a poison had been injected into their minds. They just could not avoid having their thoughts be forever returning back to what they saw there, same with the poor Remembrancers. The real kicker seemed to come from Bile's new chemical stims that radically changed their mood and what they were driven to do. However, I think there is now other way you could have written this story. Without outside factors they never would have gone down the path they did. It just wasnt a factor of their character. I really don't. Pride? Perfection? Pah! I have seen both traits in unhealthy amounts from loyal marines of every gene stock. I think everyone only judges Fulgrim and his sons so harshly by this because of what would happen Later. Confirmation bias. Take away the Laer and Biles experiments and they would never have gotten to a point of turning traitor on their own. I believe in canon the Emporers children killed off a larger portion of their own legion at Istvaan III then nearly any other because they didnt believe over a 3rd of their Legion would follow them to join Horus. I think that speaks volumes
@@Fifthmiracle Yeah that's good and all and if that's what draws you too them then have at it. But Pride didnt seem to be their problem. At least not in the sense as to why they fell. In Fulgrim by Graham McNeill Fulgrim himself seemed to be basically mind controlled through the whole affair. He really didnt seem to want to do it especially when we see in other sources how irredeemably different he was to the version of himself that actually joined Horus. The entity in the Laer Blade basically distorted his mind so much that I struggle to believe he ever would have done any of it. Prideful or not. As for the rest of the legion it also seemed to have more to do with Biles chemical experiments that made them feel pain as pleasure and thinking with their hormones that turned them from noble astartes to vicious psychopaths. To be honest I think their pride thing was the least consequential to their turn to traitors of any of the reasons in canon lore. To be honest I was pretty suprised to read that book and see that being the case but there we are
@@WorgenGrrl let's set this up On the stage fresh from the Chadian gate we have the emperors children (out comes 2 with guitars, a sax player keyboard guitar and drummer) Special request from she who thirsts as a truce during the tour, eldarii harlequims as backup singers and dancers And the orks are in the mosh pit with the lamenters (because the poor unlucky stiffs just can't catch a break)
*MNM* but actually... I think it would be more interesting that, rather than just lots of noise marine astartes, you instead have a mix of *N.M* and *T.R.P*, in the sense that the inquisitor and his retinue of diverse and varied individuals run into a single noise marine, and his own retinue of diverse troupe, such as maybe a pair of demonette twins, like the ones in the inquisitors troupe, the one noise marine leading the group to go head to head with other Astartes, a scorceror (who THINKS he is the one in charge) to pair off against one of the inquisitors, the arbites, or both (since warp powers OP), and some pleb slaaneshi cultists either recruited from the hive, or brought with them to serve as either cannon fodder, or...ramming...fodder... nvm, I dont like where thats going, but cultists instead of just either one noise marine, or tons of enemies to create a neigh inescapable deathtrap. Civilians in the imperium really dont have a lot going for them, and the "prince of pleasures" would find an easy time converting several members to their cause wherever a slaaneshi astartes happens to tread, and probably in short order as well. Hope you see this Baldermort, I LOVE where this is going.
Master Baldermort, thank you for this. This faction within the Emperors Children is what led me down the path to Slaanesh. I have 3 squads for my army and sonic dreadnoughts . Thank you for this entry as it well written and brought a grin to my face.
