It's vital that Nokta and Nokta owners have you test for them: You know as well as I do that buried coins, et al, need beaucoup time in a test bed to give bona fide test feed-back (simply digging a hole and putting metal in it is; "fun" (although a very vigorous and prolonged heavy tamping and wetting may "enhance" things; very minimally). Your test patch has come of age nicely Mike, you study thoroughly, before evaluating logically, and you understand the immense value of tones and tonal nuances; you are steady and intelligent: A proper tester, in my opinion. Machines have improved, but Rudyard Kipling hit all the damned nails on the "un-sweet spot" with his poem 'Cold Iron'. Fe still remains 'Master of them all' . Very good testing and initial review. Cheers Mike.
Appreciate the feedback Tim. I thought they were going to go with a Beast mode more like a low freq multi range with some filtering (if needed) and added kick to it. This might have been what people requested though. Not sure.
@@IffySignals Ditto, Mike. Obviously there are stand alone £/$ expensive be-spoke "beasts" (with low kHz 13" search heads🤔😉), that cater for a specific niche of hunters, as far greater depth, whilst still retaining excellent disc, is required . They unquestionably exemplify that for greater depth, for hunting specific small and elusive targets (ie: 1/4 and full Au IA staters et al, in less Fe ridden environs: Valley bottom pastures/High Ridgeways), lower kHz is essential (nothing touches one of them imo). So I am absolutely with you on your thoughts there Mike. Mind you, you are either 'specifier' and thus a 'digger', or you are not. As a former Cornish underground miner, digging in soil is not an issue, it's a holiday! Digging is "normal" to us. But hey, anyone that knows any of us considers we Cornish miners to be "normal people". "Normal" people wouldn't get in the cage.😉😎🏴☠.
@@IffySignals Ditto that on low frequ' et al: 'the people'. To hunt genuinely deep, with excellent disc, a specialist machine with a bespoke low frequency coil is needed. That type of machine is very expensive, there is a months long waiting list on it and it is for the very experienced specialist. For the general public? They'll love the "depth" of "The Beast"😉. It's a bubbling pot for the masses now: A Jam. "And the public gets what the public wants, but I want nothing this soc.... Whatever nexus!😊🤣👍
Definitely not what I had expected. I read and re-read the update description on the website and I am not sure how this, beast mode will help me as a mostly relic hunter. I don't like digging nails at 8 to 10 inches and I am not looking forward to chasing them at 12 inches or deeper. I guess I have my work cut out for me figuring this out. If it will ever stop snowing here in the northeast that is. Thanks for the run down iffy!
Me either, this is just a boosted gold mode. I seem to have less depth with it than Park mode.. i bumped up the Audio Gain to help. They have it stock at 1 in Boost mode, 3 in Park. Putting it at 3 helps and a Beast mode likes a fast swing speed.
Hi, how does the Legend compare for depth against the Nox and Deus II. Also unmasking comparison and iron reject? Be nice to have a comparison of the other machines.👍
Why no breakup of audio (ferrous tone) on the iron with the new Beast Iron Reject? Just the lower audio is not going to give an indication of iron. Maybe thats not part of it and its more of an all metal mode?
Uploading a video now. Maybe its just me but i notice less depth out of Beast than i do in Park. I bumped up the audio gain in Beast to compensate. Its set to 1 stock. I aligned it to park and put it at 3.
I only messed around with it about 10 minutes before dark. I buried a 14” half dollar months ago to test this when it came out. 1.11 would not get with any coil. I found tonight that park, 15khz not only hit it solid, but gave me a good id. Beast didn’t find it. I think dt will also be more useful
@@mdsouthcarolina6143 did you try bumping the Audio Gain up? I found its set to 1 on beast gold mode. Try 3 and see if its better. Being a Beta version maybe they do not knows its that low. Or maybe its that low for a reason.
@IffySignals I'm not updating it just yet. Waiting to see how Liam test turn out. I'm hoping to have that surprise sent your way next month, it's in the works.
Those are on the Nokta page and Dilek spoke to it as well. Deep Target ID - go to recovery speed and hit PP, move to the right to get to DT. It has a range of 1-6. Beast Mode - go to Gold Field and hit the Freq button until you see BE. In recovery speed hit pin point and you will see the IR feature.
