Cheers for this Mike. Legend is up to spec. An extremely viable package that benifits it's owners enormously, at a seriously competitive price. You started the ball rolling months ago Mike. In came the iron-filter/stabilisation enhancements in the wake of that. Further varient up-dates/coils and ergonomics have really manifested theselves for the betterment of Legend. Glad I 'held off', glad I bought Legend. Money well spent.
Nice video, I didnt buy the pro pack, but i did get the new Legend with the full carbon fiber shaft and the new Lg 30 9X12 coil. Everytime I go out hunting I end up feeling so impressed with this machine. If Nokta gives any more updates on this machine, its gonna wipe out all the rest of the competition. Just look at the build quality too, great job Nokta!! WOW
Yes, I almost didn't buy from Nokta because I wasn't impressed with the Anfibio, I found it was to chatty, but the Legend it totally different. It's simply amazing! Thank you Iffy signals for all the hard work you put in, I sure appreciate you!!
Do yourself a favor, get something else. Trust me, I fell for all the hype everyone on Nokia's influencers payroll was giving it, and i am not only disappointed in its performance but also with service,, Speaker crapped out after 6 days on the Odometer, and still no closer to getting it fixed. but the performance is the worse part of legend.
@@markkus1134 Sweet, Which of the two do you prefer? as im sure you can tell lol i am dropping the legend and now looking for its replacement, i was thinking about the EQ800 or the D2 but im not stuck on any brand atm, so still looking for what people that own and use thinks of them.
@@patprop74 the equinox is a great detector I had the 800 for 5 years and found a ton of silver with it then I had the 900 great machine and a friend wanted to get a detector so I sold the 900 which is also great a bit better at unmasking imho now I have the manticore which I like and it’s working great. I prefer the minelabs over the D2 just like the tones better and easier to turn on and go. The D2 is a great woods machine I don’t like it as much in the saltwater it is very noisy in my area and way more susceptible to EMI being all wireless. I have some short videos on my channel some river hunts with some great finds lots of silver at this spot over 100 coins going back to early 1700’s a Pistareen
Nice review Iffy! Nokta has created a great machine at an excellent price point. My only complaint is the restricted target ID, but that is definitely NOT a deal killer. Congrats to Nokta!
Me too! I like the 99 scale. Wonder if they could change it in a firmware update? Let the individual decide if they want to stay at 60 or update to a 99.
What up iffy. I just scored a killer deal on a legend last night with the stock coil and the lg 30 coil. I got it from liberty pawn and gold in fredricksberg Virginia for $375. I got it for a back up to my deus 2. Now the learning process starts for me all over again.
Wicked deal, I bought mine in South Carolina with the headphones and the full carbon fiber shaft with the LG30 coil for $550. That wasn't too bad either for a great detector like the Legend
Nice video brother the legend has came a long way any idea when they will come out with the the upgraded package for the original users she mentioned in her video?
Thx Jeff! Hopefully soon, i saw that Dilek did confirm it will come with the LG30 coil. Thats good to hear because it separates better than the stock 👍
Good stuff, new Legend came today, jumped on it before the price jump so I missed out on the upgrades. Coming from an ORX, whats a good start settings wise in a very trashy park with the 6" coil and very mild dirt? Dont want to make too many adjustments until i learn the machine a little.
@@IffySignals Multi 3 has been geared toward modern trash for parks as well, it used to be for wet conditions but not in the 1.11 update. So in heavy aluminum and foil. If there's a lot of that then M3 may help with targets masked in modern trash.
This video definitely helped me. I am just getting used to my Legend. I just upgraded from a White's SpectrumXLT I have used for the last 25 years or so. Using the Legend after using the Sprectum is like night and day. I am still having issues with going from one location to another and the machine acting very unstable stable. Sometimes due to electronic interference I am sure from wireless cameras, wifi and cell phone frequencies. Is it normal to have to adjust the machines stability from place to place? Like going from a local park inside the city and then going out in the country to an open field with less electronics around. The Spectrum was basically a turn on, ground balance and go. Any help you could give me I would highly appreciate. Thank you, Brad
Nice upgrade AR, it will take some getting used to like any new machine but its definitely one of the top dogs out with allot of room for adjustments with tones, recovery and iron filters. Yea stability you may have to adjust here and there but if you leave the sensitivity a little lower it will be less sparky and still have great depth. Good luck 👍
Multi machines do this a lot. Don't be afraid to use any of the single frequency options in rough EMI conditions though. They can often allow you to run higher sensitivity and get you more depth than if you had to tone down the sensitivity in one of the multi modes. You'll also get longer battery life in most single frequencies other than the very low ones.
@Bottlecapbill Thanks Bill. I was starting to think my machine was broken. LOL. I had even gotten into the setting and caused the machine to hit on clad dimes and quarters but not silver dollars. At one point it would hit on any coins. Right now the Legend has so many new updates to the program in the machine its not all in the owners manual
Excellent. Thanks for posting. How do you know you are getting this updated version if ordering on line? I am ready for a new detector and want to make sure I'm not getting the old one.
I found that with testing my Legend on small gold in Beach mode that I can get a fair signal in Beach Md but nothing on small ring in Beach Mw over about 1-2 inches. Best signal is in Park M2 but too chatty for the beach. Not sure how to calm it down in Park or Field on the beach without lowering to Sens to much. It is a good detector tho and I will do more testing.
Hey Jon, i don’t have that issue. I have seen videos on it. My soil up north has some minerals max depth around here is about 8” on a dime. Soil conditions may play a part in that air gap thing.
Hi i just got the new version Legend 1.11 ..i notice in m 1 2 and 3 in 60 tone the speaker has that busted statiic sound on hi and mids tones but 60 in single 4 10 15 20 40 it sounds clear in 6 tone and pitch in m 1 2 3 is clear i know its not a busted speaker cause its sounds same in headphones..i googled it and someone else was talking about hearing that broken speaker sound...did you notice this on this new version?
Do you know if Nokta has also updated the speaker element to the 2023 model? I have read on a few pages that earlier models had problems with the quality of the speaker element. Is it true? And how can the buyer be sure of the date of manufacture of the device when buying a detector?
I was told by the repair center that all new machines are being shipped with the new speaker. This started awhile ago so I’m sure anything ordered now will have it. Everything is covered by warranty just in case.
FTP Fisher can take mine any day. Unfortunately, the wait for the new line of machines is taking way too long. If FTP do release another Simultaneous Multi, it'll be full-on. For me, It's like waiting for another Tool album after '10,000 days'. Thirteen years that took! C'mon FTP, it's not all about your huge military contracts, i hope.
Your Not kidding, lol..😂..But it’s actually a bit More like “Accepting” our money in Trade for well engineered, Quality Goods and Excellent Service.. (In My opinion, One of the Two is providing Both Excellent Quality and Phenomenal service for Far Less…And doing this without any deceptive practices..😉).. They keep making insanely great Detectors and it’s just never been like this… what once was changing by the decade now changes by the year..
Hi Rick, i checked these before hand. If you go lower on stability it can false. IF 1 and ST 4-5 is a good way to go. Might need to bump it up some on relic sites where the nails have been in the ground for a long time. The iron halo can need more to help with the false.
will take nokta is lots cheaper why pay more for multi freq came out 1st with whites i pick legion for 411.00 with shipping two sets of head phones saved at least 75.00 but is the older with out carbin shaft all the nachines are the same its realy not a heavy one unless you were swinging ctx or etrac that i own with the old wide band spectrum would have to say etrac is not that easy to set up sure their are alot of people that use it or an old garett TR machine or whites idx pro found my 1st merc dime just old anlog ones run some much quiter
The carbon shaft supplied to me in the LG30 update kit is really sloppy in the top cam lock joint I reported it with a supporting video to Nokta but they’ve done nothing about it and didn’t offer a reason or solution to the problem 🤷♂️
@@IffySignals Dear John, We appreciate that your feedback, we will share your feedback with our team and engineers. Best regards! Burak Tunc Regional Sales Manager
@@IffySignals Thank you, knowing what great customer service Dilek & Nokta give I was a bit surprised not to get a better response so🤞. Thanks again keep up the good work, love the videos .
11:15 nickel ID’s at 32, then at 11:55 a silver dime ID’s at 20-21. 🤔. This is perplexing ……in the Park profile. Mike, what do the coins ID without their respective nails next to them?? Everything else about this machine looks good for an entry level multi-freq machine.
Hey Dan, 45 on a silver dime. All machines drop down allot near iron. Manticore moves them near the top ferrous limit, D2 gives the 7-9 id, 900 has an ID drop as well. The D2 you can tweak with notch to get a better ID but all machines do this. Getting a two way tone is the good part but would you dig it? Each detectorist will have a different opinion on that. Im an example even after all the testing I’m guilty of not often digging the 7-9’s on the D2. I know I’m missing stuff.
Mike, I just realized you were using “Multi-2” in Park…..which is more sensitive to lower conductors….that explains why the nickel was up-averaged in your test, while the dime was down-averaged! 👍🏼
Pissed that I bought the Legend pro pack last year for $699 and got the aluminium rod, the small coil a battery pack and a hat. That’s it. The new pro pack comes with all the above but a full carbon shaft the brand new accupoint pinpoint, leg holster,AND Nokta digging tool. If that wasn’t a big FU to consumers they dropped $60 off the price $639 on Amazon right now!!! What the actual F Nokta. The pinpointed anlone is $160. Enough to make me never buy a product from them again.
I got mine as a gift 😢, not that its devalied in any way, but wow so much more and less price.. cant imagine what they will feel if they ever find out about this
I spoke to Mike at LMS Metal Detecting here in South Carolina, North Myrtle Beach and he was amazing to deal with. The price on the Legend was so good I couldn't resist! Plus it's a great detector. I was Detecting on the beach today using 30 sensitivity which is Max and the Legend was almost perfectly silent!
