Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Chen and kai are from exo. Baekhyun I'd the most successful soloist in SK in this moment. Pd: in KPOP it's not weird that idols make other things apart from their groups and the music industry. Example is EXO, they release songs as subunits, solo artist and as the whole group, but they are actors embassadors of clothes and politics, etc etc.

My absolutely favorite artist (not only in K-pop, but in general) is Taemin - this man is a legend and a trendsetter and his music is simply outstanding. Idk why there was no Advice in this vid, but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you should definitely react to all of his songs, but most of all to Move, Want, Criminal, IDEA and Advice!

It’s because BP deprived Blinks of musics.; they only release a couple songs in two years. They don’t have much mvs to stream. This is why their YT views are high, but they didn’t chart that well on Hot 100. Their fans focus on YT views too much.

Hwasa Queen of Queens ❤ She's a member of the girlgroup MAMAMOO who is well known for their incredible vocals but she's also a successful solo artist she's a very complete artist who can compose, write and sing well. (rap, dance,...) She mostly known for her charisma in stage and her song TWIT and Maria but she's fantastic vocalist with a jazzy/raspy voice who can deals with every music genre (if you take a look to mamamoo and hwasa songs/covers I don't know if in this world there's a genre of music they haven't tried and slay)

Oh man, you need to check out Baekhyun’s albums. He has the best solo discography in kpop for me. Absolutely golden songs. Also Baekhyun, Chen, Kai, and Chanyeol from this list are all from EXO. Almost all the members have solo albums all in different kinds of domination genres. My type of songs are mostly Baekhyun and Kai’s albums. However the other members’ solo discography are also amazing. Enough for me to enjoy it a lot despite what kinds of genres I prefer.

G-dragon. Taeyang, TOP and CL were from YG ent. They were everywhere back in those years. I wasn't a fan of them but dang i miss them so much now. There's no real badass in kpop as them now (except maybe for 2-3 artist). K-Will vocals are insane! Taemin is Shinee's maknae. He's another level too. Ailee was the idol queen of vocals, she has a lot of songs for dramas Park Kyung and Zico are from Block b Yoon Mirae is such an artist. You should check her music. She's part of MFBTY. Have a collaboration with Ailee too. Lee Hi was part of YG too, but now she is under AOMG. She is sooooo talented! But i think she is underrated.

Many of these artists are parts of groups you know :) G-Dragon is the king of K-Pop. He, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and ex-member Seungri are from BigBang. And you know, that was one of the most popular and legendary groups. They are all Kings. Chen and Baekhyun are from EXO, Vocal Kings :) and Chanyeol, too, although his position is main Rapper. And Kai is the main dancer of them :) Taemin is from Shinee. Taemins Solo Music is amazing! August D is btw no one else then Suga of BTS! I wonder if theres a video about the most popular Korea streamed solos, cause the general population of Korea tends to gravitate towards ballad and solo hip hop artists rather than kpop artists. it would be neat to compare between the tastes of korea and the tastes of an international audience

Bts is actually very big on Hiphop, or I’d say their base is hiphop and they build on it to create different mix genres, it’s very interesting. They’ve covered most genres, from hiphop to edm to ballad to R&B and even Latin-pop, they’re always evolving as a challenger. A lot of rap songs that you heard on this list are from one of the bts rappers (Agust d aka Suga, RM, Jhope). Both Suga and RM were underground rappers prior to Bts and influenced the group to be a hiphop group at the start of their career. Bts also write their own lyrics and involve themselves in their own production, sometimes even fully. They’ve got the artist spirit, rap stands for rhythm and rhyme afterall, wouldn’t feel as genuine and impactful if someone else wrote the lyrics

something you may start to figure out is that the kpop scene truly is dominated mostly by groups instead of pure soloists. Most soloists in kpop are either currently in a group and also going solo on the side or they were formerly in a popular kpop group and moved to being a soloist.

V, Jungkook, Jin, Jimin, RM, J-Hope, and Suga (who also does solo work under the name Agust D) are the members of BTS. And I.N, Bang Chan, and Changbin are all members of Stray Kids :)

No one in BTS has ever debuted in the idol world as soloists but a huge portion of the songs in this compilation were by BTS members (RM, Jin, Suga/Agust-D, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook). When have lots of solo songs, some under BTS, some as individuals and the rappers have all released 1-2 of their own albums but they've never done the idol circuit for soloists. Like they don't perform on their own or submit for music shows like most other group members who drop solos. So they're numbers are even more impressive when you consider they're dropped for free, independently (as in their label facilitates it but they really have to put their solo projects together themselves) and they don't promote on variety shows or anything either.

There are only few popular soloists in Korea, most of them are just soloists who were active on a group (mostly 3rd gen) or just debuted solo after group disbanded/inactive (mostly 2nd gen). IU and Psy are the most popular soloists who were not in a group. Some of the list are Kdrama OSTs, mostly the top ones from 2016.

He began his career in 2001.

Most of the the solo songs were from members of certain groups: you seemed to like solo works of BTS members. AGUST D(solo)/Suga(BTS) is the name of a same person called MIN YOONGI from BTS. RM,JHOPE,V,JIMIN,JUNGKOOK,JIN are also BTS members. You should check out AGUST D aka Suga's solo like you suggested, you seemed to like rapping so do check out RM and JHOPE solo songs too. V,JUNGKOOK,JIN and JIMINS solos are also great , so maybe do like a series of listening to the BTS members solo songs .
