please do not ask me why i decided to do this instead of studying for finals
speaking of, i'm taking my last finals of freshman year this week! so wish me luck!!
today i am trying to take the LSAT, which is the US law school admissions exam. i am not a law student or a pre-law undergrad. i have barely finished my first year of studying linguistics and communications. i have no reason or qualification or study preparation to take this... so i hope you find this entertaining. it was very difficult but kind of fun?? i am a strange human.

LSAT tutor for 17 years here. A truly cold 168 is extremely impressive; even if you don't plan to go to law school (I didn't), you should consider studying for a few weeks and taking it for real. If you like teaching and can get a 170+ score, LSAT tutoring pays well and is generally very flexible.

168 on your first try is insane. You’re very smart and are built for this. 2 points away from 170. And anything above 170 is considered top tier. Normally people attend LSAT class or tutoring to achieve a 168. To give you an idea, a 168 will land you in Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Cornell, Georgetown, to name a few. (Assuming your GPA is on point). Once you break 170, that’s when you get into the bigger schools like Columbia or U of Chicago.

If she has that much natural ability, law school would be a waste of time and money. She should be working for a consulting firm like McKinssey and take that resume to Apple or Google. A 168 is freaking incredible!! I just graduated from law school and was a linguistics major in undergrad too - honestly there is no specific prep or degree needed for law school. Personally I really liked studying for the LSAT because it’s not knowledge based, you just have to learn the logic they’re looking for. Really, what truly makes the test difficult are the time constraints and the length. As you discovered, it is exhausting to take a full test (especially with one extra section) and when you get to the top scores (like yours!) each right answer directly corresponds to an additional point.

ahhh congrats on the score. a 168 diagnostic is insane! though as someone who has taken the lsat lol this definitely brought up some repressed anxiety 😅 and for anyone here interested in law, your major actually has little to no bearing on your law applications. You can literally study anything for undergrad!

Hi Jasmine! Tbh you're one of my most fav ytbers and helped me to pass my exams using your sweet videos! Could you also pls make a few vids on your updated(?) study routine? and a few study hacks as well? XOXO(frm India) :)

Also for anyone actually taking the test take into consideration there’s an additional section that is also not scored for prospective questions that also adds mental strain along with the anxiety when taking the exam for actually trying to get into law school

You did amazing! I’m an aspiring law student and a diagnosis score of 168 is really impressive. It usually takes months and hundreds to thousands of dollars to score that high.

You should consider studying for the LSAT, taking it professionally, and becoming a tutor. Seriously, you could make bank.

Wow, that is a great score, especially for someone who decided to take it randomly
