As a 28 year old with dyslexia I avoided reading after finishing school , warriors was my last series I read too. My goal this year is to read and finish a book. Seeing this has me excited!

We have lots in common! I only read Warriors as a kid too, and am just now getting back into reading. I also had that surgery right after my pregnancy lol and assassins are tops ^^

So Sarah J Maas has an entire universe and if you want to delve into it, don’t be overwhelmed. But I would read the ACOTAR series after the Throne of Glass series and then Crescent City.

I started throne of glass in November. I’m on empire of storms right now and 3 books into ACOTAR. She is such a good writer when it comes to thrill and romance. She’s amazing. Welcome to their wonderful nerdy world of books

Ashley... I haven't watched your video yet, putting it on now.. but I came here to say you should read (or listen to) Anne of Green Gables. I just finished it and I'm an emotional wreck 😭. It's so good and sweet. It's not a hard read, but it's definitely a good one.

Please do more in depth review of ACOTAR. Initially I was a fan, until the novella and Feyre’s character being reduced to another trope in Silver Flames

I used to read a book a day when I was young. Just couldn't put it down. Reading is escaping. It will help you relax and it's wonderful

I haven't heard of Sarah J Mass or these books. I read LIKECRAZY daily (and collect plants) and I have since I was little. I'm not on booktok lol ... so I've never heard of these books. Doesn't mean anything though. I have avoided booktok for over a year now because of how much money I wasted on "popular books" that just weren't what I would like and it was just suddenly viral on booktok. I'm not into assassins at ALL normally but if you are I highly recommend the stormlight archive by brandon sanderson. One of my favorite series as someone who normally AVOIDS assassins lol EPIC.. I read his stand alone book Warbreaker afterward because some characters do cross over and THAT book is my all time number #1 favorite book in the world now and nothing has come close to comparing (unless its comforting/cozy....there are books I read for excitement and those i read for comfort that are on different levels)

OMGGG I hated Fourth Wing too!! I pretty much agree with what you said 😭 the main character is solely there to lust for all the guys, and the main character feels like she is 14 and not in her 20s, and the world building is..non existent. Which for fantasy books it feels like a pretty important component.. I might be a little unjustly harsh though, as before I read Fourth Wing, I read the entire Wheel of Time series. Which arguably has the best world building I have ever read..so…

You MUST read iron flame. It was much much better then fourth wing. But also read fourth wing again because I feel like what you said about the main character isn’t exactly true.
