Error is. NORD is starting big. For example NORD should use two or three states for their sales outfit to produce small cars for the state taxi cab. This will help advertise thier vehicles
@emmanuelogundipe3328
@emmanuelogundipe3328 10 месяцев назад
Exactly. Do you know why the Ford is selling so well in the US? It's because they became popular through the production of utility vehicles for law enforcement. At some point the company was almost links with law enforcement. Even the Dutch Charger (not sure I got the spelling right) became popular because people saw them as durable vehicles because law enforcement use them. Lagos already has a taxi system with GAC a company they partner with. I used to question that decision but then, this is Lagos, they're surviving on investment from foreign companies so they had to do that. Taxi is not really a popular thing in Nigeria unlike before. But they can actually start the trend and make things differently. They can even propose these idea to other states and produce vehicles for their taxi company.

These local manufacturers must be encouraged! I see many terrible comments here, does not make sense at all. I have taken enough time to study most of the global automotive industry and found out most of them started even worse than these Nigerian brothers. Honda, for instance, was just a car mechanic, school drop out too. The best he could do, after many years, was motorcycles. Honda also built only pistons for cars manufacturers in Japan. Imagine making over 1000 pistons for Toyota, but Toyota ended up picking only 50 in all. That's how terrible Honda was before going into assemblage. Let us see a way to assist these people. There are many countries in Africa and beyond, that will be happy to have these made in Nigeria vehicles. That's how to dominate an economic atmosphere. Let's us blog them for the world to see.

Tobi weldone for your efforts. However, as you know our law makers are hopeless. So sometimes it is better to do your own thing without waiting on them for support. In an ideal world lawmakers will be the first people to use domestically made products, but obviously Nigeria is far from ideal. I think you just need to work out your own strategies. More advertisement of your product will help and again devising a payment plan that is affordable could help as well, again the way the value of the Naira is falling daily is also a big issue. But keep going and don't be discouraged.

They should adopt the US model, partnering with banks to finance cars for customers instead of requiring them to pay the entire amount upfront. An entry-level car priced at N12,000,000 or $15,384.62 US is too expensive. In the United States, 2023 Nissan Versa = $17,075 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage = $17,340 2023 Kia Rio = $17,875

@so9487 8 месяцев назад
N12,000,000 = $15,384.62 US. The cost of an entry-level car is $15,000, which is not practical for many people in Nigeria. Therefore, there is a need to decrease the price of the car. In the United States, companies use the credit system to finance a car, which enables a buyer to not pay the entire amount in cash. Instead, the company asks for a down payment of say $2,000 and then finances the remaining amount at a reasonable interest rate. This allows the buyer to make monthly payments for a specified number of months, and the company can earn interest and sell cars simultaneously. In the US, typical finance periods are 48 months, 60 months, and 72 months. Another option is leasing, where the customer can drive the car for a specific number of years, with a maximum mileage restriction (e.g., 30,000 miles for 3 years, 40,000 miles for 4 years, etc.). When the car is returned, the customer pays for any wear and tear, and the company then resells the car as a used car. This is how it is done in the US.

It is a shame that the British colonial government managed the country much better than the Nigerians. When the British were there, goods were going out and cash was coming in. One Nigerian pound was equal to 2 United States dollars. Today, goods are coming in and cash is going out. That is a reverse progress.

If several million Nigerians pursued similar ventures instead of focusing on importation and sales, Nigeria could become a food exporter to numerous countries worldwide. They are not assemblers. The African manufacturing industry recognize these companies as manufacturers. Nigerians are the only ones calling them assemblers. If they're assemblers then they won't be recognized as manufacturers. The Innoson and Nord manufacturers are on the top ten list of manufacturers in Africa and one of them is actually topping the list. If you're arguing that these companies are assemblers are you saying the whole of Africa is stupid for recognizing them? They import body part from manufacturers they partner with. It's a legal deal. Will you call iPhone an assembler because they get camera and other accessories from Samsung? If you can't do that to iPhone then don't do that to these manufacturers because they're Africans (Nigerians)

Collaborate with banks to help put together a hire purchase system for those who can afford it. Also, there's nothing wrong with buying a used vehicle, it's done evrywhere in the world. The solution to that is for you to put together a swapping system for your customers who want to switch to new models then sell the used ones to those who can buy it at a cheaper price on and on like that. That way, we would have more of your vehicles on the road. Talking about wanting everybody to use brand new vehicles is not practical and realistic with our current realities. Nigeria leaders don't understand what makes an economy tick. The entire USA govt only buys made-in-USA vehicles. There are prisons where prisoners make some of the components. In Nigeria, the govt imports almost all vehicles, even though there are car manufacturing companies in Nigeria. This makes no sense. The govt should make a law that only Nigerian vehicles can be used by the govt. By doing that, jobs would be created in the auto industry. Those jobs that are created would increase tax payments into govt purse. The demand for Forex would also decrease. In turn, Naira would increase in value. President Tinubu, cut the demand for Forex by forcing the consumption of products made in Nigeria.
