Hahaha....yes - I have a DEFENDER - and thats why I want a N47.......Nordhavn is the boat version of a DEFENDER, this is the best explanation ever :-)

The cockpit has roll up isinglass with side doors so you can completely enclose the cockpit. The single fuel tank runs the beam of the boat between the engine room and staterooms which isolates the engines from the rest of the boat and eliminates the need for fuel weight management. The engines are located completely outside the living areas of the boat hence the outside engine room hatch. With the engines outside this prevents most of the engine noise and fumes from entering the living areas of the boat. I believe th 59 CP has 88 gallons of grey water storage and 88 gallons of black water storage. The boat can also be optioned with stabilizers or a Sea Keeper.

Mac92940 has a Nordhavn 59cp, vessel name Independence. Has some videos of his Loop. 1 video shows going under the 19.6 bridge in Chicago. The 59 is capable of 1000 miles @8.5 knots and max speed just over 20 knots. I enjoy your VBS videos. Happy hunting for your Great loop boat.

Since you're expanding the price of what you're looking at, maybe see if a Tiara 53C would fit your needs. About the same price as the 59CP, available as 3 staterooms and with either Volvo 750 IPS or Cummins 1000 twins. Only 14'6.5" airdraft so you aren't _required_ to do the Canadian part of the Loop (in-case the border is still closed).

Wonderful video of one of my favourite models from my favourite yacht builder. The 59 CP would make an excellent charter boat in the Caribbean, especially here in Barbados.

On some boats the under water exhaust is configured in such a way that when underway the exhaust is channeled into the prop wash so that it is carried out well behind the boat. IPS drives actually exhaust through their drives for the same effect.

59CP is a great boat. This or a Fleming 58 would be my top two choices. The 58 is a beamier (who likes beamier?) version of the Fleming 55 that's a few feet longer. You might have a better chance of finding a used 58 since it's been out a few more years (intro in 2014) than the CP59. Hope you have a lot of water and fertilizer for that money tree. Maybe plant a couple more? Good luck.

Just give nordhoff an a call and they could tell you that they are not going to withhold that information unless they don't know it yet because it hasn't been built

From the DWL to the top of the arch is 19'-3", then your electronics are on top of that.

Nordhavn is gotta be the ultimate if one can afford it. I can only dream. But realistically probably not the best choice for the ICW. Now on the other hand, I feel 53/54 Hatteras would be a perfect fit. And yet affordable. Just my thought and my dream...😉👍

You probably will not see any used one of those on the market for another 5 years and that's only because I elderly couple who bought it passed away and now their grandchildren are children are trying to sell it

Where did PAE come in? Pacific Asian Enterprises, founded by Leishman were the manufacturers of Nordhavn for a while right? Still is so I believe.

@@TheBoomershines yes, but for a while they used to contract out..I think it was the 41 hulls production in the US, then moved it to China...The new nordhavn boats seem much narrower...the salons seem tiny compared to the previous models...idk...ill have to see in person...with that being said, no boat holds its value better than a nordhavn...you'd do well to sacrifice a head for what you get in return on redundant systems, etc. I'm sure its sold by now, but there was a 46 for $210k a few months ago...check out captain Q RU-vid channel for the video and contact info if you're interested

@@TheBoomershines the us made hulls are labeled Mark I, the China made hulls Mark II...I believe the 1st 44 hulls made in US...now the 41N is being made in Turkey

Great boat. Meets a lot of your criterion. The problem with a boat that has many options for the build is that if you buy used, you’re stuck with somebody else’s choices. For this one, bite the bullet and buy now. But then the question becomes can it be built in time? My Fleming has an 18 month build time. I ordered it in Oct 20 for a potential delivery in Mar 22.

On this one you lose the incredible classic pilot house and Portuguese bridge typical of Nordhavn , but still my favorite boat maker, lots of changes on this one.

The anode protection for saltwater cruisers is different from freshwater cruising . Which type of anode was installed ?

I have a boat for the great loop it would cost you less then 100 thousand to get it in perfect shape. She is a 43 foot 2 bed room sport fish 2.5 foot draft with prop pockets. I would let her go for 30,000 if you are handy you could get her ready for the loop foe less then 70,000 dollars. caterpillar 3208 with less then 2000 hr.

I still prefer the Fleming I think it's the right seaworthy capable for what you're trying to accomplish. The Nordhavan light well do the same but at a much steeper price

Remember any wood on the outside of the boat is just more maintenance so if you don't need a Is teek wood deck I wouldn't get one

NordHaven 57 Is shorter height less draft but still just to seaworthy as any other nordhoven

I think with the 57 dry stack exhaust it is well above the 19’6” although it is a very hard spec to find out there. Draft is 14 inches too deep at 6’2”. She displaces 122,000 lbs!!! Wow! ⚓️Mark

Ha! Depends upon the Land Rover. New models yes. However I’ve owned two Defenders and one ex military Series three. I ran an off road adventure with them. Two had bullet proof 2.5 normally aspirated Land Rover 4cyl diesels. My 1995 Defender 90 that I’ve owned since 99 has only been in the shop for routine maintenance on its 3.9 V8. Only now am I replacing a bad fuel pump. But yes… new Land Rover products are beautiful, but a technical nightmare! -Mark
