I Really Miss this guy very few comedians or stars have died that really Hurt me. Norm passing actually that was really hard and out of nowhere. I saw him on David Letterman for his last week of shows and he got emotional which I have never seen from Norm. But rewatching that letterman show with him on it again after he passed man... He probably knew 2 things David his Hero was retiring and he was dying. That got me choked up the second time watching that. Plus is little stand up he did was genius as always talking about Hitler. To this day no other stars Deaths have Affected the way Norms did and Randy Rhoads did. Randy was my hero on guitar and norm was my hero comedian anytime i need a lift out of a depressed state. I watch Norm and it always worked.
I can't believe I only found out about Norm about a year ago. Nobody here in the UK seems to have heard of him. Every time I watch something of his I haven't seen before I have tragic feeling that eventually there will simply be no more to watch. Its like his death is inching up on me one clip at a time. I went from not getting him for about a day and then deeply falling into what an absolute master he was. And yes he could roast people but underneath it you can just feel the warmth of a deeply nice human being. He reminds me of Barry Humphries is some ways, another incredible genius. He could be absolute brutal but there was also this same gleaming intelligent warm glint like Norm had.
@@neodonkey I noticed him five years ago on RU-vid. I think professor of logic was the first one I heard from him. But I recognized his face, Am 31 years old, so I think I must've seen the norm show or dirty work or something on the tv when I was a child or something and not really caught on to it, probably not understanding it either. I am Swedish, so foreign comedians wouldn't attract my attention until later due to the language barrier. Anyways one reason, he didn't become super famous was because he was fired from SNL, another one might be that many famous comedians from US did liberal political comedy which Norm is the very opposite of. and a third one might be that even thou I think he was a good comedian, he was more a really great conversationalist, with quick wit, an excellent story teller, super-charming. The guy is kind of handsome too. Perhaps the forums for that type of comedy, like 1 on 1 conversation-comedy maybe weren't that big.
Hard to tell where his hairline is with the way it’s styled, but you could be right. Looking at pictures from later in life, he does have a big old forehead and high hairline. Hard to say
