Why don't you put sheeting in to protect the bath? Stomping all over the bath surface in your shoes, pssibly with some piece of plaster or masonry on the underside of your shoe. Professionalism extends beyond the specific task of your electrical work.

17:10 What's interesting is that here in Hungary they do say you need to use ferrules on multi-strand solid cable. Personally I think it's a good choice either way since the wire is precompacted with it and cannot come loose after you torque it down in the terminal and move it
@giorgiofrattolillo

You would be hard-pressed to find a single mm of conduit in a UK domestic installation, as clipping the wires is the fastest, cheapest way to wire a house and that is all the big UK house builders care about - to maximise profits. Commercial installations are a different story (usually). The problem is that in order to do any maintenance work on a UK house you have to rip things apart to get access (as opposed to pulling new wires through existing conduit).

Why do you guys have the fuseboards/consumer units mounted high in the UK. like on the cealing. Where I live in mainland Europe we are not allowed to mount it that high. In homes it is required to mount it with underside at 1.5M and the top row of MCB's may not be higher than 2M I believe (not sure on that one but it is a rule of thumb I keep in mind) This is so in case of a fire, the fire crew can turn of the main fuse to the house to prevent risks to their crew. Also in case of a fault it is easy to reset them without having to grab a ladder. Especially if the lights are on the tripped RCD/breaker/fuse. Just interested on to why that seems to be a trend in the UK

@@JuiceBanger1 They don't all have a light some have a tab,some a little window with a rotary dial denoting state.Also that 'grain of wheat' bulb type generally used consumes an infinitesimal amount,certainly not enough to outweigh the cost of paying a sparks to come and replace one. The problem stems from their inherent need for big contacts,which don't lend well to constant use. Big current causes material transfer across the contacts as they are about to meet at every application,leading to poor contact which leads to more heat and so on,contact failure is a problem I quite regularly find in high draw solenoids and relays,admittedly that's partly because the metals are rubbish nowadays but mainly because of application cycles.

WTF? Dude - This video and the one I just finished have a chicken advert running repeatedly with gaps of 1m10s to 2m35s for the actual stuff you are presenting. I have tried skipping and I've tried allowing them to run to the end and they keep coming. This has ruined any possible enjoyment. Sorry Mat, I like your channel but I am not going to bother anymore. There are ads running now since the start, I've been typing all this time and not seen you yet. The second one is on more than three minutes runtime! No way I can watch in patches of two minutes (or less) and the same ad every time?
