1. He won't. Hades has far greater magic than Freya, Freya stated that greek gods have superior magic. 2. Baldur will be just as screwed even if he resists the Blades. Hades is not a dumb brute. He has some pretty complicated attacks. Baldur died in the first fight with Kratos, Kratos proved that you can beat Baldur with the curse.
1. Where the hell does she say that? And how would she even know? 2. Baldur is immune to all attacks physical and magical, it doesn't matter if it's complicated, it's still physical or magical 3. Baldur died, yes, but only for like 3 minutes, then he just got back up, dusted himself off, and went about his business, you can kill Baldur, but only for a very short amount of time, and it doesn't seem like he actually dies anyways, I'd say it's more likely like a more extreme version of unconscious for him. 4. I will admit, I do not know all the lore of the GOW Greek gods, but I do know that Baldur is a ridiculously powerful character and should definitely not be considered weak, same goes for the rest of the norse gods, it really ticks me off that they are considered generally weaker than the Greek gods because they are likely just as if not even stronger on average, it's just that the greek gods have those select few major powerhouses that beat out most (or in Zues's case, all, though an argument can be made for Odin)@@teleptic6430
@@teleptic6430Baldur's curse makes him invulnerable to magic, Hades weapons wouldn't work any better than the blades of chaos nor the axe did, plus the soul stealing hability has been proven not to be 100% effective, if that were the case then Hades alone could take on Zeus or pretty much anyone, but as Kratos said, Greek gods overestimate themselves (literally Hades was beaten to death, there was no tricky ways to defeat him, the claws were overkill and he was just not bulletproof to his own tools). Only god that could take on Baldur would be either Zeus, Odin or Kratos, and although all three of these could knock him out, he will just keep coming. It's not possible to win over a dude that just never takes damage of any kind, it will go down as a stamina fight and bro never got tired of chasing Kratos until he lost the curse.
@@nathanpond2530kratos had blade of olympus when killing poseidon not to mention. Poseidon is said to be one of the most powerful if not even more powerful then zeus. He can control water create storms and a bunch of other powers.
1) He didn't use the blade on poseidon 2) He had help from gaia in order to kill poseidon, i bet thor would be much easier since kratos defeated him in ragnarok without trying to kill him 3) poseidon is said to be the second strongest olympian after zeus, then hades is the third, thor is far beyond poseidon and hades so maybe he is at the same level of ares @slurp3194
@@XO_Keo not even the whole point either dumbass lol 😂 tyr isn't all that for kratos due to his strength and knowledge. Ares on the other hand could've killed kratos had it not been for the gods.
@@user-kw5gs3sv9x no no no. You fkn idiot. You said that "Tyr wasn't even difficult". Insinuated that you defeated Tyr with low difficulty. Because if you were referring to his overall strength and capability. You would've said something along the lines of " Tyr isn't even that powerful". You're literature is dog shit. In my original comment I am referring to power scaling. I said that Tyr showings in Valhalla makes him probably stronger than Ares. While you're comment doesn't even debunk my comment or relate to mine at all. So I don't even know why you said it in the first place.
Personally Surtur would win: not only is his only purpose to destroy all the gods (along with Loki’s children) and destroy Yggdrasil, the world tree. Not only that but he actually does it.
I would agree but you also have to take into account surtr is not a god he is in the end just a leader and if we are going by the god of war story and not actual Norse mythology he gains no significant powers till he combines even if we follow standard Norse mythology hades would always come out on top being the god of the underworld and the dead m
@@pomodoroamai6160Thanatos was more so a primordial being born from Nyx the Goddess of Night whom was born from Gaia and Tartarus. Don't quote me on it but I'm fairly certain he was more associated with peaceful deaths, leading souls to the entrance of the underworld where Charon the ferryman would take them across the River Styx.
when you realise that loki is both part greek part norse and also part human and part Giants Edit: well i am back after one year and damn thx for the likes/mom i am famous
@@sinofpride8237 Dude, Greek Gods just clap in game too, the young Kratos had a lot of things with him to take them all, basically the magic powers he only has in Greek lands, all the weapons and equipments he took from every god, plus he had the blade of Olimpus which is the most op weapon, and at the end he still needed help from Pandora to kill Zeus in his second form
@@RealDSY Amen-Ra is also said to be all powerful, he literally exists outside of this reality (our consciousness) therefore trying to understand Amen-Ra is pointless since he is form in and formless at once, he is pure consciousness and unconsciousness, a being far beyond belief. Let’s just say Amen-Ra is equal to Yahweh in power and status terms.
The World Serpent claps. Kratos didn't have much difficulty against Kronos, mainly the size difference is what made it a difficult fight. While the World Serpent was going toe-to-toe with Thor, who gave Kratos quite the trouble, and only got sent back in time because their fight affected the World Tree.
Thank you for pointing this out. That means that kratos is stronger now than he was back when he fought the Greek gods. Therefore because kratos struggled to beat the Norse gods your statement proves the Norse gods are stronger than the Greek pantheon.
@@KidKyroOfficalit was literally stated old kratos> young kratos and old kratos was holding back against the Norse gods so he doesn’t fall into his old life and he wants to set a good example for his son Atreus. And he has better experience and better control over his anger and a better arsenal of weapons. Young kratos generally only has blades of chaos. So old kratos>young kratos
@@picklespickle1641 KRATOS IS PART OF GREEK LORE. In the official lore, it's Ares that beat zeus and made him stay in olympus to stop causing issues with mortals
@@lonewanderer1328 except he is obviously different from the Cratus in IRL greek mythos, who was an avid supporter of Zeus, was sadistic in torturing his enemies in the name of Zeus and chained Prometheus on the order of Zeus. Kratos isn’t in this list because it makes sense. He solos everyone lol this is his video game so why would he even be here? Its not a fair comparison
I mean Hermes would probably be too fast for heimdall to read but heimdall is just stronger and has more abilities and such so heimdall would still beat him low dif imo
@@dbbdbdbdbd599Yeah, but the way they both handle themselves in the fight, and the way Tyr always stops Kratos' punch no effort in the end tells us a lot. He's probably near on part with Kratos, if not stronger.
Fun fact: The Kraken is actually a Norse mythical creature, this is a huge misconception since the first clash of the titans movie, the sea monster that Perseus defeated was Cetus.
Freya's spell protects Baldur from all threats, but in myth she travels through the nine nordic kingdoms and asks all beings not to harm Baldur, so Hades' claws could harm him.
@@luisdanielsanchezj.2468 this isn't the myth, it's an adaptation, why you even bringing that up. In GOW, it's completely different, it's just a spell/curse. And no attack can hurt him, so Hades literally can't kill him. Baldur wins for sure, plus Kratos says he was the hardest opponent he fought
Incorrect sure he couldn’t harm Baldur with them but he quite literally takes out Baldurs soul which doesn’t necessarily have to harm him as we can see he did to Atlas. Baldur would be defeated but his soul would be fine and living
The comments are so childish. NO ONE COULD DEFEAT HIM WITH FREYAS SPELL. So I think it's quite obvious that no one really takes it into account when making these because it would be boring and obvious who wins.
I seen lot of people downplaying Thanatos, thanatos is a primordial God ( gods before the gods) who is as strong as the other primordials even stronger than zeus and a God of death, he definitely beats sutur
Not in the GoW universe, he’s not. Zeus is the strongest guy there. Thanatos was beaten by a Kratos who was MUCH weaker. If a weaker Kratos can beat him, then there’s no way Thanatos is stronger than Zeus.
@@mr.goblin6039 Actually, the version of Kratos that fought Thanatos was when he had all the powers of Ares. In Ghost of Sparta, you are playing through the game as Kratos in godhood.
Ahora tyr técnicamente es más fuerte que ares pues en el dlc de valhalla demostró ser capaz de detener un puño de kratos cosa que nadie (que yo aún no me haya enterado) a podido lograr
@@Hevenlee I'm not sure. Being a God and Embodying a Concept could be considered similar, but I don't know if Embodying something conceptual immediately equals Godhood
They are done with Norse mythology and moving on to Egyptian mythology in the next game. Most likely the next game will be about Atreus searching for the giants in Egypt
yeah, though i havent played the game, it would have been cool to have Hel in it, considering they went to hellheim. Maybe they thought not to add one too many Loki's children
Nah. Cronos in his prime would rip Jormungandr in two. The Cronos in GoW 3 was a weak and defeated Cronos, without his magic, having been forced to wander the Desert of Lost Souls with a mountain chained to his back for a thousand years, and then an additional 11 years in Tartarus after that.
@@escomape5390No he fucking doesn’t lol. And before you say it, he doesn’t transcend dimensionality nor does his realm does so too. It’s an overrated feat and it’s also a fake scan too, and he’s not even as strong as The 3 Olympian Brothers. Surtr claps him low diff.
Aphrodite is actually powerful. The GoW1 novel said she could kill DEMIGOD Kratos(obviously not Kratos after opening the box, then taking the throne etc) This aint an outlier either Persephone oneshotted Kratos if not for Zeus Gauntlet Aphrodite may have magic to deal with Thrud
Aphrodite is literally a TITAN. Not a "god" of Olympus, a fucking TITAN. The other gods are terrified when she's pissed in Greek mythology. You don't mess with the love goddes. She would fucking BODY Thrud. This first one is just plain robbery bro. Y'all delusional to think some teenage kid winning against her.
The Sister of Fate Neggs Magni Neggs( actually I forgot which one was the God of strength) Persephone Neggs Cronos wins Mid- high diff Thrud wins Mid diff
The Greek Gods were very strong, they all held their own against Kratos blinded by his rage, albeit they still lost. When he fought the Norse Pantheon, he was much mor controlling of his rage, and didn’t allow it to blind him. Even if he grew stronger with time, his rage was what allowed him to Destroy the Greek Pantheon. The Norse Gods wouldn’t stand a chance
wrong hes godly weapons plus hes rage allowed him to beat them. he may be stronger physically now, but he had more powerfull weapons capable of killing any god.
@@lucylucian2564yea, young Kratos, in addition to having a gigantic rage that advanced with all his power, had a large arsenal of divine weapons and magic
@T-Army Exactly! Unless Poseidon starts talking about how his Dad doesnt love him. Poseidon uses Confuse Ray! Thor hurt himself in Confusion! Thor still confused. He cant attack! Poseidon uses Hydro Pump! Does average damage, but Thor faints! 😄
@@simeonr.1903 Poseidon can use electricity himself. He gives the power to Kratos is GoW 1 and uses it in GoW 3. He was the God of Storms for the Greeks (irl)
@Divyaansh Sinha Yes, I know. I was just making a pokemon comparison. Emphasis on "seems." If using those rules, it would be like how Lapras has the ability to use Thunderbolt but is still susceptible to lightning attacks.
All facts in my opinion except the thor vs poseidon part. My boy poseidon gets severely underestimated in many videos. He was fighting against Kratos AND Gaia when he got defeated. We don't know how things would go if it was an actual 1v1 with kratos. I mean kratos would still win cause he's kratos but it'd for sure be more difficult. So yeah poseidon > Thor for me, I agree with the rest. Really nice edit!
Considering the norse cosmology, maybe Magni still would be able to beat Hercules, i don't know, but for the cosmology, Magni scale at a minimum low multiversal and at maximum low complex multiversal.
Hercules lifted and held the entire cosmology of Greek mythology on his back for under 24 hours before relinquishing it back to the titan atlas via trickery, defeating a horde of giants that attacked Mt. Olympus with some help from Ares and Athena, stalemated Ares in battle, held his own against a pissed off Poseidon and shook all of Greece once when he destroyed a mountain just to create a river, add in his 12 labors feats and you'll see just how powerful Hercules is.
The Kraken used in this vid wasn't the Kraken from GOW2, it's the whatever monster form Alecto, queen of the Furies, took. It's way different but Jörmungandrr still takes it tho
