North Star Rover Rally - Having Fun with the Free LR4

Today we make the trip to Northern Minnesota for the North Star Rover Rally. Put in by the Minnesota Land Rover Club with the assistance of ANARC.
Man was this weekend a blast, Sasha and I had a load of fun with Merlin the “FREE” LR4. It was great seeing the variety of Land Rovers, including a P38 on the trails. Another bonus was finally meeting some of my familiar “internet friends” in person.

I bought LUCKY8 lift rods for my 2010 LR4 HSE. Love it sitting up 2 1/2 inches higher. I also have recently added a flat roof rack. Got the POWERFUL UK LR4 MOLLE PLATE & bought the ROVER BLACK GEAR BOX AND MOUNTED IT TO THE MOLLE PLATE AND THEN MOUNTED THE MOLLE PLATE TO MY LR4 ON THE PASSENGER REAR EXTERIOR WINDOW. ALSO BOUGHT THE LR4 SIDE HOOD VENTS IN SHINEY BLACK AND A SHINEY BLCK HOOD SCOOP OFF EBAY AND INSTALLED ALL 3 OF THOSE. ALREADY HAD A REAR HATCH LADDER I STALLED. ALSO ALREADY HAD THE HEADLIGHT AND TAIL LITE BLACK GUARDS INSTALLED. ORDERED WIND VISORS FOR ALL 4 DOORS AND INSTALLED THEM . BEFORE I DID ALL THAT I TOOK MY LR4 TO MY BODY HE RUNS HIS OWN BODY AND PAINT SHOP. HAD HIM REFINISH AND PAINT THE HOOD,FRONT BUMPER AND ALL LITTLE DENTS AND SCRATCHES ALL THE WAY AROUND IT. LOOKS LIKE BRAND NEW NOW WITH 133,030 MILES AND 15 YRS OLD MANUFACTURED IN 2009. I've bought a number of brand new vehicles in my 64 years, but this 2010 land rover lr4 hse is by far my favorite vehicle ever. I've really enjoyed and love my Rover and will never sell or trade it. It's mine until I leave for heaven and will be working on God to bring it to heaven with me. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. That was really interesting and fun to watch .Thanks man

Man. You have to come to the Mid Atlantic Rally (MAR). The other events are nice but this one will 100% be worth the drive (220 trucks on 1000 private acres!)

That would be fun for sure. I have another deal going on this weekend. Shooting for Alabama though. We shall see. Then maybe get to the winter romp.

Merlin did you proud, it looked like you both had an awesome weekend away. Seeing it was only Sasha and yourself, you managed to get some fantastic footage, or has Sasha mastered the Camera work🤔 Couldn’t but help noticing the little red Ferrari in the background, a future “Off Road Conversation”??🤔🤣 Keep up the great work. 😎👍

I wish I could get Sasha to work that hard haha. But yes, Merlin did great. I wish the Ferrari was mine, I’m just a lowly Land Rover gentleman haha.

wow that was awesome and I already follow Steve and this week with cars lol. And in the physical challenge part I recognize some of them from Winter Romp. And you your right there with Bruce who runs the Romp as he was the other one that was filming. SO its your destiny to come up here this winter.

The Eco would do some of the more difficult stuff, nothing extreme though. It’s on my list to outfit one of the rigs a little heavier. But there is also one close to the ranch that will be quite the treat when done for stuff like that.
