Today we work on getting everything sorted for winter. Per usual I have too much stuff laying around and we need to get that sorted before we bury everything in the snow. We also need to get up on the roof to get that watertight before getting the rest of the insulation up, just seems never ending around here but I love it!
Oh and a sad day on the VW Karmann Ghia

Man, that is harder than it sounds too. With 20 years in the auto business there is a lot of opportunities that just kind of end up in my lap. So it is hard to turn some of those away. But it is becoming necessary.

Solar battery maintainers, yup simple enough but one must think of it. Ok I need one too hahahaha. Rolling 4 port lift to store one on it and another one under it lol
@LostCauseRanch

The solar battery maintainer would just be too smart. You might be envisioning the future with the 4 post lift.

I'm glad you were concerned about falling off the roof on to the Rovers, thereby damaging them. Priorities. 👌😅 It's a good thing [for you] that the weather has held out so long. You could otherwise already be buried. ❄ I'm excited to see the timing chain repair.

The Rovers are definitely more important haha. Super fortunate this year in the snow regards. We usually have a few significant snowfalls by this time. Looks like no white Christmas this year. The timing chain should be a fun one.

I'm with ya brother, heights and i do not mix well.Especially now with two replaced knees and a replaced shoulder and the other shoulder needing replaced. It was just not as stable as I was when I was younger and owned all my own personal parts from birth 😅 So I stay on the ground where if I fall I'm good.😅 You still have the black Landy. I thought that was going to a business for them to use.oh, well, I like looking at it still being their. Ok, move app those landys back down out of that area and have a truck load of 2 inch stone spread from top to bottom its to slick and muddy. And it will dress it up a bit.

Joe, your vides should be longer, because you entertain watchers very well in my opinion. Thank you for Lost Cause Ranch quick update!

I really appreciate hearing that and appreciate you watching along. I have a lot of fun making these, but hearing that does make the amount of time it takes to make the videos more worth it. I’m working on getting my whole life organized so I can free up some extra time to devote to the videos, I do really enjoy making them.

@@LostCauseRanch I tried to do some videos of my LR110 project, I converted 300tdi engine to mercedes om606, but it is not easy to find time for making project, recording, editing and making comments in interesting or hilarious way. Anyway, it is entertaining to watch your videos, how your ranch is developing, how your parts collection is growing, how your projects are on going, how you are struggling to not spend money:) I keep fingers crossed for your channel and I hope that one day you will earn money on YT!

Great to see you have managed to overcome your fear of heights, the LR4 and budget Amazon winch made a great safety hoist LOL 😂. Glad to see that you have managed to part with a few of your collection, at least this not only helps to give you a bit more room around the place but also helps to top up the Piggy Bank! Is that your New Years resolution not to buy so much stuff, well bet of luck with that then LOL. Keep up the great work. 😎👍

The good news (at least for me) is that there is a large margin between zero and the amount I normally purchase. So I can still buy a good amount of things haha. But yea I’d like to knock through some stuff before adding more to the plate. Still not over the heights. Just trying to not be as much of a baby about it. Things need to get done so I guess I need to get over it haha.

Since you built your shop, why not build a covered shed so the rest of the fleet is not out in the open? You have enough space
@LostCauseRanch
@LostCauseRanch 8 месяцев назад
I would like to in the future. I do have enough space but my land is kind of interesting to work around. The grass yard that you see (where the camper was parked) is my septic field. So that is unbuildable there. What I may do is create a more permanent road up the hill and do a storage building up there. That would be the road where I just parked the camper and discovery. I could put a smaller building on the other side of the septic field towards the ravine. But I’m not in love with having to drive over the septic field. But I could clear some room to avoid that behind where the Touareg is sitting.

Does it have to be a building? A roofed structure like awning you can use to work on builds during spring and summer time so the enclosed shop does not get bogged down. Just a thought. Like the Aussie sheds on YT.@@LostCauseRanch
