Northern Holland - Hikin' & Bikin' on the Isle of Ameland [Sept 23/24, 2017] 

An expedition on the isle of Ameland, a so called 'Waddeneiland', one of the islands wedged between the Waddenzee and its mudflats and the Northsea. Two brothers hikin' here - 23 km over sandy dunes, wetlands and over the beach. Also touring the villages 'Nes' and 'Buren' - on bike. Especially Nes is very picturesque! The many old houses over there show it's wealthy period of abt. 1690/1740, the mainstay of it's economy at the time being fishing and whaling.
Enjoyed a B&B in the village Buren.
