Another great video. I'm glad you used the Rivet Nuts for a nice, clean and professional look. Good explanation of all the features and benefits of the sprayer and the mower. Good job Jonas!

i love how he uses the safety rops to not only hold his tank but raise his center of gravity too. nice.

I ended up adding about 100 lbs of weight to foot pan. I only spray on flat ground, no hills. It only gets used about 5 times a year and then removed. Been using it for 2 years now and it works fantastic! Thanks for watching

Great job. I've built a setup using the same Northstar Sprayer. I'm in the process of changing my setup to use a foot switch and a quick disconnect instead of the handlebar setup for turning the pump on-off. Might be something that might work for you.

Great job! I’m wanting to do the same type of setup where the tank is over the drive axles and motor. I’ve tried the ATV style hitch mount cargo carrier on both the front and back of my BadBoy Outlaw and it threw off the handling due to too much weight in the front or back of the machine. My ROPS doesn’t lay at that 90° angle like you have here so I’m trying to figure that out. I’m looking at welding up a bar of square tubing to fit in the hitch receiver and support the ROPS at that flat angle…or just weld up a rectangle “basket” that mounts to the rear walls of the engine surround to hold the tank, and use with the ROPS in the up position. Your video gives me some great insight though. Great job!

To eliminate spray mist,is there an air induction nozzle you would recommend? Larger droplets instead of mist
@PowerEquipmentMan
@PowerEquipmentMan Год назад
We ended up moving the sprayer boom to the back of mower and attached it to the rear hitch with a small bracket. This eliminated the mist issue.

How has the sprayer been holding up, any problems with losing the prime or spraying out the last few inches of liquid? I'm looking into getting this model for my quad and so far your the only video ive found. Hoping it won't be too heavy when it has liquid in it, only other concern I have is my exhaust to be just about where the hoses are, and other people said that it's melted their hoses who have had the same problem since it's on an ATV.

It has been working great. You do have to be on a bit of an angle to get the last bit of liquid out of the bottom of the tank. This sprayer was designed to be mounted on the back of an ATV, so it should work great for that. Just make sure your hoses are tied up away from the exhaust.

@ 5:58 what is that piece you are attaching the sprayer wand to? Where is available? Thanks
@PowerEquipmentMan

It was just a piece of scrap steel I bent and drilled mounting holes in.

Great idea! When u use this do you have any issues with the herbicide mist blowing at you?
@PowerEquipmentMan
@PowerEquipmentMan 2 года назад
You do get a little but if mist if there is any wind. I ended up making a mount for the sprayer boom on the back hitch of the mower too. Its not quite as convenient since you can't see what you are spraying as easily, but it still works great.

Do you have a video of how you mounted the boom to the back of your mower?

Or a picture would probably be all I'd need to give me an idea on how to attach it to my Ferris

where can I purchase the connector that holds the spray wand to the front?
@PowerEquipmentMan

The plastic bracket came with the sprayer mounted to the tank. We just removed it from the tank and made a metal bracket to attach it to and bolt to the front of the mower. Later we ending up making a bracket to move it to the back of the mower. It was difficult to spray if the wind was blowing at all and would get mist from the sprayer blowing back on the machine and your legs. We never had that issue with the machine we ran before this one, but for some reason this sprayer/nozzle had more mist drifting. Thanks for watching!

How did you attach the sprayer to the plywood?
@PowerEquipmentMan
@PowerEquipmentMan Год назад
There was threaded mounting holes in the bottom of the tank. I just drilled holes threw the plywood and bolted it together.

Thanks for the video, I can't understand why people place the spray boom in front of a riding mower (zero turn) so the operator drives thru the chemical being sprayed. Seems very unhealthy!
@PowerEquipmentMan

We did later move the sprayer to the back on this machine. It is nicer having it out front to see what you are spraying better. Thanks for watching!

For 6 acres how many gallons you think spraying round up ?
@robertsteele8838
@robertsteele8838 Год назад
I think I’m going to mount same way just putting my sprayer on rear because I don’t want it blowing on me. Great video tho can you adjust the flow rate on boomless sprayer
@PowerEquipmentMan
@PowerEquipmentMan Год назад
A lot. For my driving speed/overlap, 16 gallons covers about 3/4 of an acre.
@PowerEquipmentMan
@PowerEquipmentMan Год назад
We did end up moving the boom to the back of the mower. Works great. You can adjust the pressure regulator, but that's it.

@@PowerEquipmentMan ok thank you I’m trying to kill weeds in field. I was thinking about getting a 5 head boom and hook to our spryer do you think that would work better?

@@PowerEquipmentMan I thought about doing like you but buyer the 5 head boom and hooking it up hopefully get better coverage per tank what’s your thoughts
