Plan B is really coming together nicely! I am really digging the look of the vintage tunnel ram, classic Holley 450 cfm carbs, and that old school fiberglass shark scoop! The J&J Speed and Machine "Jumping Jack Flash" nostalgia front engine dragster looks sharp! Needless to say, I am pretty excited! In this video, we work on getting the carburetors hooked up, the scoop installed, and continue to plumb the fuel system. Checking things off our "to do list" feels really good and gets us one step closer to firing up Jimmy's real fine 409 small block Chevy. Once we get it fired up, we will make sure everything works right, set the timing, and call it a wrap! I am glad we had a plan B in mind, this project has been quite the learning experience, and you can't give up. Hard work, perseverance, and being goal oriented pays off in the end.
Before you know it, 2 Hacks Garage will be hitting the dragstrip and making the music of my people, horsepower! For me, the nostalgia drag racing scene is the best and it is a dream come true being able to race in that. As you can see at the end of this video, there is very little left to do before we can race. Being this close is exciting but at the same time, a bit nerve wrecking! More exciting content on the way, be there or be square!
