I have the opposite problem, I don't care enough about others perceptions of me lol. There is an interesting series on yt called "Century of Self" where it talks about talks about marketing and how they need to create desires in people so they buy more products. People don't buy enough things when they only buy what they need. It's a four part series, highly recommend

Yeah I wondered f I should fit in for a long time by wearing makeup but I discovered makeup made me feel more self conscious and less cpnfidence so I just stopped.
