That's a nice sentiment, but remember, when videos like this come up, it's usually because the creator is seeing trends in the RU-vid Studio data that suggest otherwise. The only way they can sustain ignoring those trends is to a) bet on an algorithmic tweak to save the day b) have some kind of off-platform product/income c) scale back production and boost efficienies to make current viewership sustainable. If growth is what they want, they'll have to risk some change or look into on and off platform promotion options, which can be a money pit.

My sentiments exactly as that of many others here. I geek out on every video as the process and journey is as important as the final outcome. You are one of the best You Tubers out there!! If you were to choose, it’s ok to be a little commercial with the channel, even Buddha talked about life and speaks about being commercial as far as it is ethical, real and true to your values. How that translates to your channel is what you need to answer for yourself. It’s fine to evaluate and review where you are. There are a few other You Tubers that I feel I feel manage to have a healthy balance between content and being commercial, Alex Palameri is one, Gears and Gasoline is another, I like Vtuned, Goonzsquad has become too commercial, I like Matt Ross too. Nevertheless, ❤ your content, rock on!!

Sarah, I've watched your channel for years specifically because of your attention to detail and how you don't want to rush things. I know I'm not the only one. Some say that in order for a channel to grow, you need to "go where the audience is" but I think that once you reach a certain size, you can actually do the opposite. You said it yourself, a lot of big automotive channels move towards cutting corners or trying to get projects done faster. I think that's an opportunity for you to do the opposite -- bring people in by showing how things are done the right way. Is it glamorous or the most lucrative? No, but it's honest work and something you can be proud of.

@@chemapc It seems like the natural order of things if a channel gets a huge number of subscribers, the "views" even a month after an upload are a fraction of the subscribers with only a few perhaps being "breakouts" higher. As long as the content is great though, any new or existing subscribers will probably go on a binge-watching spree through the old ones/playlists too.

I think we all reach a point in our lives when we see others around us progressing while we're standing still and it makes us feel like we're failing. But really we need only concern ourselves with what makes us happy. For a lot of people, achievement IS what makes them happy and that's fair enough, but if you're not wired that way, don't measure yourself against other people's goals. Just march to the beat of your own drum.

As encouragement, your vehicle reviews are the absolute best, you know cars: mechanically, design wise, how they drive and handle, how to fix them, and you’re not afraid of getting your hands dirty, and best of all you really love cars, all kinds, and it shows. I gave up on the RU-vid reviews from dealer nerds, marketing hacks, monotone AIs, and even grumpy mechanics in overalls who concentrate on narrow topics. Your reviews are full spectrum and entertaining! And your sense of humor rocks! Be confident you have an army of loyal subscribers.

Add in the granularity of your knowledge of so many of those details (and your total honesty whenever you DON'T know them) and you've got one of the most engaging styles of presentation of any content creator on RU-vid. But we're half a million guys who ADORE you...surely that = one million regular subs. Edit 1: I vote for standard Sarah stuff every time! Edit 2: Try this for a brake upgrade: Drain all your brake fluid, then replace every single rubber seal in the system (including in the clutch slave, if appropriate). Then flush the system thoroughly, and fill with DOT 5 (silicon brake fluid). Remember to CLEARLY mark the reservoir. Sit back and enjoy brakes that can cope with MUCH more heat, brake fluid that doesn't feck up paint work, and a bit of a snobbish feeling. The best upgrades are usually the ones that people don't easily spot.

One of the reasons why I look forward to watching you week after week is your high-quality standards. Another is that you chose projects that you want to do, that are not necessarily the "automotive norm" and show the intricate mundane work that goes into making a quality automotive build. You don't have the "big auto shop" resources, with staff and mega-equipment. But you concentrate on what you do excel at - friends and associates that help, humor, and the drive to provide quality and entertaining content. As I non-maintenance person I learn something from you each week. So when the resources permit, you'll get more staff, more space, more equipment - but never ever go down that corporate route that some A-hole from Google or RU-vid decides on what sells or doesn't. Kept on trucking sister.

what it is - your hands-on skill and commitment to quality are inspiring, and add credibility and relatability to your reviews and perspectives.. You might find you need to remind us that you're an acquired taste, but hope you don't mind us reminding you that many of us have appreciated and followed the content for a long time, and are looking forward to many more penguins in the future.

Your videos are nice because they're actually technical with little tips. There's a pile of people who upped the production value and excitement, but their videos are like ... Sponsored part delivery + montage install + stall on test drive + maybe go to the drag strip or dyno. The technical problem solving is way better. That's basically you and maybe legit street cars.

Do NOT change what you do or the way you do it. It’s nice to see that you take the time to do it right and that don’t cut corners just to pump out another video. Keep up the great work!

Into weird cars? Heck, you are working with the kind of cars that are accessible to regular folks. I can't speak for growth, but your content is always a pleasure to watch. Reviews, mods, goofs, it is all fun to watch!

So, for many of us, it's the details that makes us love your channel. Ya know, the stuff other channels skip over. I hope you can keep having fun and also make enough money to keep this all going for a long time to come.

Maybe some people can't appreciate the car your interested in...but I know for a fact that your projects are insanely clean and people can appreciate that.

Loved the "metal on" / "metal off" editing. Had to have been time consuming but it was worth it! 😂
