I think it’s important to find joy in the simple things you do everyday. Biking around a very clean city and eating excellent tasting food seems like a fantasy compared to rushing thru traffic and eating junk food from a typical fast food outlet in Canada. I feel like visiting Mexico now even though I don’t know a lick of Spanish and never eaten a taco in years…lol

I have my apartment in Queretaro,Mexico now, and will be arriving on November 2, 2021. 1-800-GOT JUNK did an excellent job of removing my stuff, so now I own 2 suitcase and a backpack. I always saw EL GRITO parades in Acapulco since 1962. I speak Spanish as a second language I stay at home and order groceries. I tour online. I traveled from age 20-73, and now at 79 next month, I am contented being home watching you beautiful people. Stay blessed always. Look up Vicente Guerrero and his museum in Cuahiniculapa, Gro. For tacos callejeros I'd go with Los Potrillos up in juriquilla, los gusanos in Hércules, taquería Guadalajara in satélite and Juan tacos around downtown, they are all night tacos (i.e. they have Pastor). Other places I like a lot are Tacos Don Manolito (the One I can think of Right now is the one in El Refugio) and Tacos El pata.

Nice video. We went to Santiago de Querétaro on 2018. An incredible city full of historic places and delicious food. We went to el Mercado La Cruz and I tried one of the best tacos. One was a guacamole taco and the other one was cheese and beans with a delicious cafe de olla. Thanks for sharing my home country.

I have to admit that I watched this the day you posted it and I could NOT recall the question you asked. After watching...I remembered! Lol! Hmmm, either would be tough for me but I think I would have to choose the "smaller" of two evils (my two evils-yucky)! I have to admit..."En mi opinión, preferiría comer un pimiento muy picante!" I think I would try the trick of that the hot pepper contestants use; drop it down and just swallow quickly! I like cooked onions but don't feel I could eat an entire raw onion unless I was allow to eat it over a period of many days. You certainly have made this challenge a blast! I have really enjoyed this entire week - sad that there's only one more day left. I have thanked you previously and have to continue to thank you for all the fun you have given me (and my two sons). I can't wait to retire to Mexico and share my experiences with my boys. They have such a sincere love for the Country (yes, we have visited many times), the culture, and the language. Of course, my kiddos are better than I due to taking Spanish in school but I WILL catch up and hopefully surpass!

Loved this! I actually watched while eating lunch and now I'm craving tacos! I had the best tacos dorados once when i was in Querétaro, unfortunately i have no idea of the name or location of the restaurant! (Btw, my answer is definitely onion. I don't care for super spicy food.)

In less than two weeks, I'll be there following up on this. I think I want to do a survey of some of the best taquerias in town...for my blog. We'll see! Hi Alex, to answer your question for which I would prefer between spicy pepper vs. raw onion. I love both, but for a stand alone I would have to say I would have a spicy pepper. I do how ever like to put raw onions on many things I eat. I very much love spicy foods.

Hi Alex, Definitely will have to try out some of those taco places when we move to Queretaro, they all looked so good! If you make it to Puerto Vallarta sometime, you may want to check out Tacos Revolution, and there's always Pancho's Takos a Vallarta favorite.As for onion or pepper, gotta go with the onion!

Hi I purchased your guide to residency in Mexico which has been really helpful. Due to delayed house sale I will be arriving in Mexico with only 10 days left before my visa expires! If I go to INM within the 10 days is this sufficient to start the process even though it will probably expire before the process is complete? Thank you
