I just moved to Guanajuato 3 days ago!!! I will always be staying in an AirBnB. Water, Garbage, Elec, WiFi, ins. Is all part of my $850 per month to live downtown Guanajuato!!! I don’t need to buy furniture, dishes etc. Additionally as I evolve into this new life style, I can leave to Ireland 4 months out of the year when Guanajuato get’s to hot for me to enjoy. Regarding Learning Spanish. I have 1 hour a day private lessons for $100 per week. I love it. (Note, I spent 6 weeks here earlier this year “Boots on the Ground” experience to see if indeed this was the city I wanted… I LOVE THIS PLACE) Monday I start working for a Non Profit as a volunteer so I “Have a purpose in life” AND to organically further my Spanish. I am hoping to expedite my integration into Mexico. Such a wonderful, beautiful place…

Hi Alex!! Just wanted to say thanks for turning us on to Host Relocation services in one of your videos. They helped us in so many ways. We got our Temporary Residence on our third day here and they took care of everything, and I mean, everything. They also helped us with obtaining our RFC and even called a pharmacy and had prescriptions delivered to our door after we fell I’ll in the first week. They also added us to a what’s App Expats group here in Querétaro and we are already creating friends. We are living in centro in Querétaro and appreciate all of the info you provided. Living the dream!!! Jared & Risë

I'm moving to Ajijic on April 14th and boy do I have a lot to do! I had foot surgery 4 days ago so I've had lots of time to think about everything, just not able to do much yet, but I have one way airfare purchased and I know where I'm going to live so that's a relief. I went on a scouting trip to check out a place I was interested in and it blew me away and exceeded all of my expectations. I think I may donate my furniture and just start over in Mexico. I plan on checking one suitcase and taking my carry on bag and my personal item and I will manage nicely. My new place is furnished so that's a relief. So thank you Alex for all of your great suggestions and wish me luck! I'll check back after my move.

New to your channel so apologies if it’s addressed elsewhere…. Do you carry your passport and tourist/resident cards daily and, if so, how to do so safely? What if you’re going to the pool or beach? Even without the latest talk about immigration checkpoints and photocopies not being good enough, would you even leave them in your rental and, again, how to do so safely? Obviously here in the US I’m used to carrying my drivers license and such, but when I go to the beach or pool often use a hotel safe or locker, but not sure how to tackle protecting something as potentially scary as a passport full time. Thanks for any feedback!

@@leapintothewild I watch many videos. The rule is you are suppose to carry your passport and visa. BUT I think most people carry their residency card only and perhaps a photocopy of their passport. That is what I intend to do as I do NOT want to carry my passport everywhere... too much of a liability... Just my take...
@leapintothewild
@leapintothewild Год назад
@@LJ-jq8og I also watch many videos. Quite a few visitors who were stopped for ID checks on buses, in cars and on the streets report that photocopies are NOT being accepted - only original documents. Thus, my question. Unfortunately, no reply from the host, and I've asked this question on several of her videos.

Make sure that people 65 and older CANNOT get premium heath insurance . Also, if you buy a home make SURE you get a tax I'D. Living in La Paz Baja you need to remove your tinted windows if you bring your car into Mexico, otherwise they will do kt for you with a big price tag.

I'm planning to move to Queretaro to work online, from Calgary Canada. In my research, is the closest thing I found to Calgary in terms of quality of live, security, modernity, clean city, low traffic and low density population. Am I right? I'm Peruvian BTW, so Spanish is not an issue for me.

Email them asking for an appointment. I emailed McAllen and they sent me an email the next day with their requirements along with some dates to choose from. Buena suerte!

Hi, great information ! I’m from Europe (25 hrs traveling) and I was thinking of applying from San Diego - is that an option ?

Hi, Paul! I suggest reaching out to the San Diego consulate directly to ask about applying there. In non-pandemic times, that would be totally fine, but I just recommend double-checking since some consulates have changed how they're doing things.

Many Consulates require you to live in the county where they are located. I recommend emailing the Consulate in McAllen, TX Buena suerte!

What I'm looking to do is move specifically to tijuana mexico in about 18 months once my social security is established in June 2025. Now will I still need to apply for permanent residence in the U.S. Or could i just keep renewing my temporary required forms. I'm a U.S. Army Veteran with full medical and plan to get registered in San Diego. Plus I will work part time most likely in San Diego. As far as roof over my head, that's all I need, probably will just go for a furnished studio apt to start with. Great video thank you.

I have been traveling to Guatemala and Mexico since 2002 doing mission work. My husband is going to retire as soon as we qualify for the economic solvency requirements in April (we sold our house). We plan to work with our church's Bible institute. I'm a little unsure about what kind of visa to apply for, as we plan to live on his pension plus support from our church.

Is it true that the immigration officer can give you less than 180 days at the border if they deem it fit? I'm about to travel in December and need the full 180 days in order to be closer to my husband. Do you think travel insurance and flight reservations would be enough? Accommodation would be on a 28-day basis in case I move around or would volunteering with maybe Worldpackers be helpful?
