@@DerekHallmanI came here to say the same thing. If you decide to race just sign up for B. Better to be a back of the pack B rider than getting taken out by a C rider. It'll make you a better rider too. Keep on practicing, I enjoyed the video.
Great video idea Derek! Entertaining and exciting as usual. I’ve noticed your starting to ride the bike harder now, must be getting comfortable. Can’t wait for what’s to come and I’d like to see a learning to whip video. Keep up the good content❤
It was obvious that an expert ride was going to have a better lap than a novice but damn he rips his 250 around the track! What would be interesting is you doing a hot lap time on your 150 2 stroke and somebody else (an expert 2 stroke rider) doing a hot lap on a 125 or 150 idk Nice vid btw always puts a smile on my face :)
Heck yeah bro.. I was riding my Kawasaki for about a year until I realized the sag meant a lot of difference,it's much better now..I've set the sag on both the kawi..& the Honda 😁👍🔥...nice ripping as always.
It made the bike feel so much better! Can't believe I've never done it haha now I need to adjust my other bikes also. Did you notice a big difference in handling when you set your sag properly?
Derek I’ve noticed one thing that makes your difference between novice and advanced rider… you need to stay on the gas more, never cut out. Even just the smallest little touch of gas is muuuuchh better than cutting it all off. Your fast it’s been fun watching all these years : I mean this all for coming into corners
In the jump its kicking you because you're going a gear to low, go one gear higher, smoother power, plus your rebound (Too fast?) and body position could lean more towards the back of the bike
The reason you keep getting pitched forward on those jump faces is because you need to shift up a gear, your on the gas but not in the meat of the power. Shift up a gear in the air on the first little double. The bike won’t pitch you forward as hard. If you listen to the bike your at the top of the power in that gear so when you give it more it’s not there. Hope this helps. Another thing, stand up more man haha.
Just a pointer on getting a faster lap it’s probably gunna sound stupid but get out of the mine set of lading at the top or down the face of the jump, send the thing like flat landing is fast just watch your m8 and see how far down he lads ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻 sick vid keep it up
He'd either need to get his stock suspension re valved or get better inserts, or get aftermarket suspension set up for say a more pro rider so he can comfortably overjump everything, just by watching Josh riding you can tell he has aftermarket suspension, it helps so much when you want to go fast.
Yeah Josh has $8,000 A-Kit KYB suspension on his bike haha he can flat land no problem. I would definitely need a stiffer set up on my YZ to ride like that.
Depends on what kinda of riding you're doing. Are you fun riding or more into racing. I bought a Yz250f because I want to be competitive racing but it's more expensive and 2 Strom will be cheaper to own
honestly since I talk so much while I ride it keeps me breathing so I don't typically have issues there. My main issue is maintaining good form constantly. YZ definitely barks!
