Yay. Good video Even if you have to wear a belt. This is a good video for explaining how poor topology exports from solids modelers.

That mesh was rather nice though. I had a rather nice experience solving it. I actually had a tougher time solving the side B cause I got too ambitious. I was gonna do one with moi as well since I was a fan of their remesher. Ngon export was never used much by me. But in this solving age. I can see it working nicely.

​​​@@masterxeon1001Yes, I do believe MOI has a better export remesher. Still, it took you over an hour and a half to retopo, and you're the fastest and best 3D modeler I've ever seen,( and I've seen many. ) This means it takes you as long to retopo as it did to design in plasticity. It's one of the reasons why I do not recommend plasticity to users, nor do I recommend MOI. Not unless you're doing some ID work where you want to export your design for an engineer or 3D printing. By the way, don't forget to tell folks to remove custom normals once you import the object as an OBJ. That should be step one. So, for what it's worth, bulgarov sells meshed step files (created in MOI) in his kit bashing store. He doesn't retopo them (except in one library). I'm not sure going through the trouble of all quads is a necessary step. At least it's not for many game ready models, and certainly not necessary if you're just doing concept work.

@@ChippWalters the handheld in blender will be 4 hours probably. Not due to anything other than my (silly) design choices. Correcting geo is a personal choice. A way to repent my ngon sins for the rabbit god. I also saw it as unique and fun path adding challenge to my work. Ngon meshes are still as useful as they are intended but I don't see them selling madly unless I have brand / name appeal.
