Today were double brooding nucleus hives. In a previous video you saw that these nucs had filled up massively on honey during the heat weave a few weeks ago. In fact I think that was probably the best honey flow I have ever seen. Fingers crossed we experience more flows like that again!
The main reason were double brooding these nuc boxes is to give them more space. Number one we don't want the bees to swarm. Number 2 we dont want the queen to run out of space to lay up.
The bees need plenty of space to lay with brood so that the nucs are strong and full of bees ready for the winter.
