Аренда гоночных автомобилей с проффесиональным инструктором на сайте www.greenhell.ru/ BMW M3 E46 with custom tuned Bilstein suspension. The car has no interior, roll cage. Stock engine, no other mods!
That my friend is the sound of a ITB inline 6 screaming its face off, lap time for this car is in the correct range too, great driver cant really do much better without a more powerful car on this course. Gotta remember the M series BMWs are race cars before they are street cars.
What an amazing job :) Hope you be safe, thanks for the video! I both enjoyed and learned quite a lot of things... however I doubt if anybody could do something like this even virtually! Cheers Greeting from Persia
That was Hankook 240/640 R18 slicks on Motec wheels all around. Yoka slicks 650/250 R18 about 10 second faster (look my other video VLN config 9:30 that means 7:25 BTG)
a LOT of weight has been taken out of this car. you can see it has a rollcage, and of course you can tell it is a lot stiffer and has a LOT of grip. All points to more race-oriented suspension and stickier tyres - I'm inclined to believe that someone who spends every season pounding round this circuit in a car as track-prepared as this one can turn out some pretty brilliant times.
@Nordschleifejunkie This car was prepped for V6 production class for VLN. In this class it is not allowed to make any changes except tires and suspension. The weight of the car is about 1430 kg and, like I sad before, there are no other changes except suspension and a roll cage. You can see my car just about every day during tourist hours with Florida license plate. In this video it was slick tire, but track was damp. With dry track with Direzza 3G semi slick I was faster during tourist days!!!
at first i also thought this was sped up but on a closer look its just excellent driving with an awesome car comes to show what some weight loss can do but those tires sure are not stock?
Sped up? lol I've just imported my M3 from the UK to Australia. I had always wanted to take it to the ring before I brought it over. Unfortunately I've got 2 young kids now and will probably have to sell it. Your vid has made me want to hold onto it a while longer ;) You said "no other mods" but has it had a remap? Love your work.
It's not sped up, it's probably the camera/framerate that makes it look like that. The slicks giving high cornering speeds are what makes the time so low. I was going around 7m50s in a full trim road car S50 Z3M Coupe on R888s, similar weight, bit less power. That felt quick but 7m35 must feel uber fast.
Sorry guys, this is not speed up, I think this is some real good driving, I am shure you got a AW or MYK Numberplate;-) Great Video, it shows what a series M3 can be made into without the carpets and the heavy sound proofing. Great car...
krisa997 great drive great car i have just bought a m3 e46 and im in middle of stripping it for track and fitting roll cage like yourself , do you mind me asking what brake kit you have on your car . i cant stop watching this vid ,awsome.
@suzuki17dt he said there's no interior. therefore all the insulation/soundproofing is gone. that means the engine will sound much different than normal.
Ernest Daka The M3 Richard Garnasson is driving is a supercharged M3 CSL, and he drives the full track, not bridge to Gantry, like the video here. BTG is only 90% of the track. If this was the full track, Denis' time would be about somewhere around 7:50. Always add +- 20 seconds to a bridge gantry lap.
Richard Göranssons lap was a full lap, not BTG so that is a lot quicker, not to take away anything from this driver/lap as it's a big different between the cars, the Loaded CSL had somewhere around 600hp.
For me it'd be E46, coz I like a straight 6, and can have a csl rep. without the flappy paddle 'box. However, there is a problem that BMW refuse to recognise, and that a fair few E46s are now cracking around the rear subframe holding the diff. Boils down to your choice.
nice drive on a stock car... one more thing! I'm watching this Richard Gornasson on what looks Racing M3 and his time is 7:22 not much faster than yours, but actually looks much faster than you, just a thought...
