On Jan. 4, 1946, Col. John Amen, Assistant American Trial Counsel at the Nuremberg Trial, called as a witness, Walter Schellenberg, head of foreign intelligence for Nazi Germany following the abolition of Abwehr in 1944. He was cross-examined by several German defense counsels.
