In 1996 the NYPD was modernizing with a new white livery, This was one of 3 designs experimented with in 1996 and it was modeled on an Aero Ford Crown Vic. This Mock up failed for the more well known Livery that was on cars from 1997 until 2023. This historical video shows what could have been and could have been lost to history.
