Just one of my favourite collabs ever now! Maati Baani, Somashekhar Jois, Shankar Tucker.....didn't expect the kannada rap...great combo!!! This sounded better than I expected it to be!!!

Awestruck by this phenomenal creation. A unique blend of exquisite sounds, pulsating rhythms, extravagant timbres so different yet in a musical unison. The moment this piece starts, the soul begins to dance, such overjoying it creates !! This is probably the most rhythmic pieces of Maati Baani till now. The way the electric bass, konnakol, claps, tabla and trap beats fuse to create a syncopated groove with the vocals is astounding. The counterpoint of the vocal melodies, the perfect complement of the clarinet tune and the unexpected but belonging rap part. And the most awaited collaboration between Shankar Tucker and Maati Baani. The exposition is itself so power-packed. The introduction with the konnakol brings in energy, soon overlapped by a virtuosic, intricate and perfectly complementing bassline. The verse begins by Mrs Shah mesmerizing vocals, layered in beautifully with the supporting vocals in graceful timbres adds the hindustani flavour immediately. This progresses to the most awaited parts with Shanker Tucker on the clarinet, the melodic, embellished and utterly enchanting clarinet solo in his peculiar style. The progression in the verse with soul-melting vocals, accompanied with the entrancing woodwind, layered in with the tabla, keys and guitarcreates an abyss of nostalgic emotions. And then, the Siri with rap which perforates straight to the heart.The jugalbandi with the rhythm section enough to give one goosebumps (also reminding me of the clarinet layakari in Chal Chal Sakhi).Can't appreciate it enough. The recapitulation and finally the resolution leaves one filled in an ocean of musicality and bliss. Applaud and appreciation for all the musicians involved in crafting this mellifluous piece of art. Brilliant lyrics, vocals and accompaniments. No words for describing the genius of Mr Shah in his production. He made everyone awestruck yet again. Whole creation aside (which is absolutely fantastic), I must say that I am enchanted by the musicality of the Raag Mishra Kafi Bandish itself. So many unique chhands and phrase ideas that have been explored in Kafi before but have never been strung together so elegantly in one composition. Beautiful, beautiful!

I Have listened to this song couple of times. Every time I felt that song length is just about 2 minutes or so. But the actual song length is above 4 min. So much packed into a single song. Kudos the Idea and recording of the song.

Still can't wrap my head from what this is!! Waiting for this was one thing and after it's out, still letting it sink in!! Heard this over hours. What a masterpiece. Just filled with so much to say and nothing at all at the same time. Using the konnakkol that way was killer, especially that fusion with the beats in rhythm. The Clarinet- other wordly. Love goes out to the subtleties at 2.02s and Nirali ji that little vocals at 2.22s. Hooked to the one at 1.05s. The rap in kannada definitely stole the show. But overall and above everything, Nirali ji here, just impressive. There was something here that made your presence pierce through. Really something that's felt with more listen. And the genius behind it all everytime, Kartik sir, the energy field that drives everything through and that leads to a nothing, without. Magical magical. ✨ Need more!!!
