U.S. mile record holder and World Indoor 3000m silver medalist Yared Nuguse jumped into a workout with 2022 Commonwealth Games 1500m champion Olli Hoare as he made his final preparations for the Australian national championships, where he's looking to strengthen his case for selection for the Paris Olympics.

Serious question- not trying to be a wise guy here. Why are we putting his splits out for public consumption three months before Paris? Is this a common thing to do? Is it possibly a psy-op with inaccurate times being said and shown on the screen? I simply do not see any upside to this.

@@benjaminlyng8269go onto Strava and you will see everyone's work outs and splits. It's really not that big of a deal. On race day so many factors come into play, from the type of racers that line up to pacers, to in race strategy, etc. It's so complicated and more of a head (mind set) thing on race day. Splits just show fitness levels in isolation.

@@adamjohnson5285 In college he solo'd two NCAA records. That's pretty aggressive. Kicked to win Notre Dame a dmr title. Took on Ollie hoare from 400 out to win millrose. Hell he won two diamond leagues you have to be aggressive to win those. That argument has never made sense to me

Those are the on cloud 10,000 m spikes. They look flat, but they have some cushioning to them. I have a pair myself and they are incredible!

Watch Ingebrigtsen's tune up 3 days before Pre & Kerr's seeson leading up, & you'll see an incredibly massive difference in effort quality & accomplishment. Yared is fabulous, but..... seems too nice to really put the hammer down aggressively enough........ ( Pre results say as much........)
