Oak Cliff - Dallas Neighborhood 

When you live away from home, videos like these are always needed.

Yup ,Oak Cliff was once its own town in Dallas county, till Dallas annex it around 120 yrs ago ,Oak cliff pretty big with its own hoods westside ,east,north,south!

May be 10 years ago. I used to drive along Jefferson Blvd, there are some big, old, beautiful houses.

I'm surprised they didn't show Jefferson Blvd...the main street of Oak cliff. Which years ago used to be a beautiful place to live.

Oak Cliff was where i was born in 1969.

Oak Cliff is close to the suburbs it's right next door to Desoto and Duncanville

Oak Cliff is not a neighborhood. It was once it's own city and it's consist of many parts. From South Oak Cliff , Southwest Oak Cliff, West Oak Cliff, East Oak Cliff, North and downtown Oak Cliff which would be Jefferson Rd, Zang, Beckley and etc. About (4) highways actually go through or around the area (35), (30) which would be on the border of West Dallas and West Oak Cliff, (45) goes from Downtown Dallas to South Dallas and Oak Cliff, (67), and (20). There's good parts, descent parts, and yup there's the parts that are like every city(bad) parts but overall it's cool.

I’m born & raised in the south Suburbs of Chicago, but all of my family lives in Dallas, & some live in Oak Cliff. It’s not a bad neighborhood, @ least in the 70’s & 80’s. I just thought that they talked country as hell, but not a bad place.

My middle school days I used to walk from Bishop St near Bobs Market down Davis cut to Jefferson and on to the old Greiner Middle school. Those were the days.

This video is misleading...had you REALLY driven Oak Cliff this would have over an hour or more of footage. For all those who are curious, Oak Cliff is freaking humongous.

My folks grew up in Oak Cliff and attended Adamson High School. My mother lived on South Beckley and my dad on Morrell. My dad’s folks lived on Greenbriar Ln. near Methodist Hospital.

He didn't even go through the old historical downtown area of Oak Cliff on Jefferson Blvd. What about Lake Cliff area, Kessler Park, all the large historic homes in north Oak Cliff, Kiest Park, the area around where Oak Cliff Country Club use to be, and Red Bird area. He didn't even touch the size and all the diversity of Oak Cliff.

This is near Stockard Middle school & LK Hall elementary , Weiss park,crockrell hill area.. I grew up in this part of Oak Cliff ! Texas Dr. Lots of memories..

when i was growing up in dallas in 80s and 90s they always said oak cliff was one of the worst areas to avoid. it doesn't look at all bad in this video.

i wonder i was going travel to oak cliff tx to see the cementary along with ochoa family, especially abel ochoa, abel 47 was convicted of 1st degree murder for 5 members of family during the fight in august 2002, also, in feb 6 2020 he was executed by lethal inyection, his last words were, "I would like to thank you for forgive me" ochoa's family, including the family victims and her survivor alma to apologize that he got commited mistake, and other last words just like gary gilmore, saying, "Let's Do It" ochoa he was going to sleep while he got heartbeating during the execution, he was knocked unconscious and as he took his last breaths and begins to scream in pain and then at 6:48 pm, he was pronounce dead and finally, ochoa is buried in the oak cliff cemetery along with his family murdered in 2002
