Love your content!! I have Holbrook torch prism lenses and they beat any other sunglasses out there. Going for a second pair and cannot decide if I should get sapphire or 24k, any suggestions??? Just daily use but I love the way it brightens the greens/red/blue colors. Thanks again for taking the time to make these vids!!

Do you know if they're going to offer this lens for the 1/2 jkt? They used to make the standard version, iridium for the 1/2 jkt but no longer. As of now, it's not on their website other than for the Flak and a few other models and that said, for the Flak, only in polarized. I know you can still buy a custom 1/2 jkt with 24k iridium but was hoping to get the new 24k prizm lenses for my 1/2 jkts. Thanks.

Yes, the Mainlink has grip on the temples and nosepads which make it great for physical activities and PRIZM Ruby is a great middle of the road lens that can work well for running.

Would the gold 24k lense be ok to use in mountaineering conditions. Does it block out enough light? Thanks and great video.

The 24k lenses actually block out the most light than any other lens that Oakley sells. It only lets in 11% of light. Hope this helps 😁

@@FudgyTheWhale_ actually the Oakley clifden is 5.5% light transmission but they are mountaineering glasses. For mountaineering you want somewhere between 5-7% transmission with 100% coverage you don't want light sneaking in. Would these do for some mountaineering possible it really depends on what you are doing. I don't think these would work for top of k2 or everest.

man these look really nice -- now oakley just needs to let me buy just the 24K prizm polarized flak 2.0 xl replacement lenses. I have the sapphire (my favorite), jade and deep water -- all in prizm polarized. i'd be curious to see how the 24K compare to the sapphire

@@dgilly716 prizm sapphire polarized is my current favorite for everything: driving, hiking, normal daily use. the 24k prizm polarized is a bit more mirrored/flashy looking. I like it nearly as much as the sapphire. the 24k polarized when driving, you'll get some lense flare/artifacts (if that makes sense) when looking at brake lights and sun reflection. overall they are great lenses though. different base tint than the sapphires i believe. the DWP i havent worn in quite some time -- i think the contrast is a tiny bit muted on the DWP versus the sapphires though. disclaimer: I am not an oakley expert and these are just my opinions, lol.

The Flak 2.0 is better if you need them in prescription. The Radar is better if you want extra coverage. Hope this helps!

Oooo that would be a great video! Thanks for the idea! PRIZM 24K is slightly darker and has a different color mirror than Rose Gold but they both feature a bronze base for boosted contrast.

For Lakes, streams and deltas, Yes! For offshore, open ocean settings, the Prizm Deep Water Polarized would likely prove the better option. Make sure you get the 24K POLARIZED as they also come in a non-polar version as well. Happy Fishing! 🎣

Hey Luca! I wouldn't classify one as better than the other, it really comes down to personal preference. The Ruby let's a bit more light through with a VLT of 17% compared to that of the 24K with 11%. If you're somewhat senstive to light of find yourself working or playing in very bright conditions then the 24k will offer a bit more relief to the eyes. The Ruby delivers amazing contrast as well with a tad more rose to the outlook. Hope this helps some!

The 24K's bronze base helps with contrast enhancement and should perform decently well in bright daytime conditions. However, the Prizm Field's rose base tint achieves a different outlook of contrast and color boost that really benefits baseball and field sports in general.

I have both the sutro 24K and the prism Road and the 24K is definitely a little darker. About the only limitation for cycling and the 24K lens would be trail and gravel riding. I wore my 24K lenses and did a gravel ride that was quite shaded in the woods and I had to put the 20 4K glasses on my helmet. Then again, the prism Road may have been too dark for those conditions as well. I haven’t tested that. Hope this helps.

Sadly this lenses are not an option for the Flak 2.0 XL as shown in the video. Only the Polarized one is available via the replacement parts store. Shame on Oakley to remove the non Polarized one
