I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's so rare on RU-vid to see a synth demo done by someone who can actually PLAY. Normally it's "let's press a few random keys and turn the cutoff up and down. Now let's play one chord and do the same". Very nice to see the OB-8 used properly.
I know what you mean. I've compliled a playlist for myself of synth demos to remind me what's on the market and with the majority of them the playing ain't good. I mean, half the time I think if you're not that great playing live you could at least write a little tune or play a few selected midifiles, but no, mostly it's just random keys being pressed.
I reckon Katsunori is just about the best synth guy on all of RU-vid. He plays actual music on these instruments, rather than bleep-bloop and random noises.
sounds like the old 80s demos that my father use to do by only using a Prophet5, jx8p yamaha rx21 and a tascam 80-8 or the portastudio 144,,,, good times
The police won't arrest you if you play Jump, stop playing that similar sounding thing and play Jump. That is a wonderful souding board, one of the best ever.
Probably doesn't want to get the video flagged by youtube. You should watch his Korg Kronos review. It's funny he plays a bunch of well known songs but changes them slightly. This is why UJIIE is legend.
