This is a Tutorial of how to create Silver Occamy Eggshells! These eggshells look like they came straight out of Newt Scamander’s Case!
You will need:
Paper Mache Eggs (I got mine at Hobby Lobby) 4”x2.5”
Silver Acrylic Paint
Pearl White Acrylic Paint
Glossy and Matte Mod Podge
Silver Glitter
Brushes
Silver Paint Marker
Silver Leaf or Silver Leaf Flakes
Box Cutter or Exacto Knife (please be careful!)
Paper Mache Eggs

Another idea for the "potion shelf" would be to put some of the silver leaf into a jar as Occamy shell silvers/flakes/etc.

you could put aluminium foil and maybe re paint it and make sure its pressed down

Thanks for doing this diy. Every home should have silver Occamy eggshells (too bad they don't exist in real life, then we'd all be filthy rich ;p ). I went with what I had on hand (fake dye-able eggs & silver metallic markers). Not as large as the egg you used, but still easy to cut (although you have to be gentle as they will break easy under to much force) & I left the outer shell white.

Hmm, that "gold leafing" that you are brushing into the top of the egg shell certainly looks like silver to me :)
