Right after this album came out these guys were in Chicago and my roommate who was friends with them had them spend the night in our small apartment. I didn't know who they were but I came home late after a party one night and found the singer in my bed and the other guys sleeping all over the floor. After I woke him up he moved to the floor. The next morning woke up and found them watching ren & stimpy on my tv while eating breakfast. Never saw them again. Nice people though.
I'm 13 and I'm an African American(black) male and this is the the FIRST ever time I've seen a black guy in a metal band...ESPECIALLY as the vocalist. I've been wanting to start a band for a while now cause I can do guttural growls and screams. I've been seeing the racism amongst the culture today in music A LOT. People think that it's weird that I like metal and I'm black, and even white people who DON'T like metal think that it's weird. I've been going through a lot the past few months and my parents think that metal is one of the reasons..especially my dad..he's a Christian and thinks that metal it's making a "rebellious spirit" in me. My mom is a little iffy about it, but she still meets me listen to It. I want to become a vocalist for a metal band when I grow up..that's my DREAM! :-) but with all these stereotypes..I don't know if I'll make it happen..and I'm too scared to tell people my dream because I'm afraid they'll laugh and if I tell my dad..he'll probably get mad..don't know what to do..
dude I believe you can do it! It might be hard but you gotta push through the hatred. Just trust in what you really want and you will achieve what none of these low life losers can. :)

can't believe this is from 2009 and were almost in 2023 and this song is to this day of the best deathcores of all time. no matter how many times i can go repeating it non stop, never gets boring like most deathcore bands and songs that are currently released and hurrr durrr everyone claims them to be the goat of deathcore... this is the true final boss song in my deathcore list.
***** Latin is the root of all these modern Spanish type languages I would say. But Mexican Spanish is different because it holds some native dialects in it and pretty much if you go deeper into Mexico and South America the language becomes more diverse. Especially when there's millions of speakers of the old languages.

I remember the first time I ever heard of this band and watched this video. Thought it was the hardest hitting/heaviest thing I’ve ever seen… to this day I feel the same. Just punches you square in the chest. A timeless classic

I haven't seen this video in about 2 years, Its an average song didnt really find too much replay quality too it but for some reason had the beginning stuck in my head the other day. I come back and all the comments are about the Black singer. I guess times don't change too much on the comments section of videos. Usually just brainless racists talking about the elephant in the room. He does have "major skills" and put some heart into some of these tracks, that's all you can ask of a musician.

I met these guys like 13 or 14 years ago. The nicest guys you could ever meet. Also the vocalist has the dirtiest vocals I have ever heard. Love these guys.
i remember when this band was brand new. i would blast this ep in my car all the time. me and my befriend were obsessed with this band. it was so cool that a poc guy was the lead singer. when the video came out we were absolutely blown away by it. feels like a life time ago… and i’m still here listening and gets me hyped like it did the first day i heard it.
This band came out at the peak of the 'breakdown popularity. This song was sick when it was out. Its not meant to be technical. Its not meant to be pretty. It was supposed balls out lead weighted metal. If you're comparingto. Anything else that isn't either in the same brutal class or more intense than you're not getting it. It's a whole different book of rules.

Definitely some shitty people who judge in the scene but overall I’ve definitely always viewed as more accepting than others .. like rap it’s way harder to make it being white overall for criticism but take Howard from killswitch (not metalcore buut you know what I mean ) overall everyone just appreciated the vocals . I think it’s Cos metal music isn’t about image as much , it’s much more about the music

As bands, imagine is there, but we get past it if they're good. The first time I saw Animals as Leaders I thought to myself, "who are these posers?" Tosin was looking like Carlton from Fresh Prince and talking like a shy little boy. Then they played CAFO and I became an instant fan.
if you want to listen to antireligious listen to gorgoroth, dark funeral, or listen to old deat metal. deathcore rarely has truely hardcore or brutal lyrics.

This is fucking EPIC! I just got into metal a two years ago and I've gotten into the Meshuggah's and Abnormality's but after I heard Oceano, I feel like I've found my favorite metal band thanks to a friend.
whaaat dude Oceano isn't even that unique they're a lot like many other deathcore bands out there.. I'm not saying they're bad cause I listen to em but I've been listening to all types of metal since I was like 11 hahaha you should look up Black Tongue or Impending Doom (Black Tongue is my fav)
