This is a rebranded Schwinn AD Pro...Also know as a rebranded Schwinn AD7 (ADPro was a game changer for the airbike market) however a badge change and some accent color changes are all I have seen out of this bike for the last 4 years... I'm sure that's in part to Octane acquiring Schwinn and True Fitness now acquiring Octane so not much time to get to the drawing board. It would be great if during the re-branding and color changes you could make changes to the only key issue I have seen on this bike in the last 8 or so years and that's the pedals. They are not a quality pedal for this type of machine, this is a high output machine and you are putting pedals on it that should be on a standard upright bike, I dare say the torque applied to these pedals is close to or higher than what you find happening to pedals in a spin class. The crank system on this ADX/AD7/ADPRO is stellar which is why it pushes the failure to the next weakest link which is the bearings in these pedals. In all the pedals I have replaced on this model it appears that the bearings are the failure point and not the spindle as that is always intact and straight however the entire pedal assembly slides off leaving behind a greased spindle thread into the crank arm that is not safe for use. All in all I have been selling and using this bike for many years and I would put it up against any airbike on the market, there's always room for improvement and that's the only complaint I have is the pedals used. I currently have 4 of these bikes in a facility and 2 are down with pedal issues.
Thanks for your message! We will take this feedback to our team and our parent company, TRUE Fitness. Thanks for the comment, and we're glad you enjoy the ADX Air Bike.
I use this bike at my gym and was thinking of buying one. I have noticed that the pedal on one of the bike makes a clicking or creaking noise which is a bit annoying. It sounds like a common problem
