Update: I’ve successfully played a few matches using random matchmaking! It takes awhile, uses an awkward hosting system and the player base is tiny right now, but it is semi-functional. Still experiencing game freezes and performance issues. Will update this comment accordingly after the maintenance day on 1/29. 1/30 Update: No noticeable changes. Couldn’t find a game to test online. The lack of marketing and communication is worrisome in general.
That's a shame. Stikbold is almost perfectly formed and has so much personality. The only thing missing is online play, but luckily you can just use Shareplay to get round that
Thanks for the review! You saved us $20. I'm considering buying stickbold (which I didn't even know existed so thanks for that too) but, unfortunately, the deluxe version for switch is still $15. So I'm not sure whether to just buy stickbold or wait until oddballers is fixed. You said oddballers had 18 different game modes. Does stickbold have many game types? And which would you recommend? We like to play games like this when we have family game night.
Stikbold goes on sale every couple months for $5 (or less), so I would add it to your wishlist and wait for a sale. Stikbold has three types of games, team dodgeball, free for all dodgeball, and 4 mini games, all of which are pretty good. I just posted a video with all 18 of the mini games in Oddballers, so check that out for more specific gameplay info. I’d maybe wait for a sale, but Oddballers would be fine for local multiplayer if you could get it for less than $20.
@@obscuristgaming thanks! I got impatient and went ahead and bought stickbold 😂. We're having pretty good time with it! I may pick up oddballers at a later date if I catch it on sale. It looks fun but I'm hoping they'll get the performance issues worked out. That should've been addressed in their first patch imo.
Nice! Stikbold is a lot of fun- there’s even a party mode and a 2 player story mode, so there’s enough there to keep things interesting. And agreed- send me a message if you ever want an update on Oddballers performance!
