In this week's episode I head out to review & test the OEX Jackal 3. It's a 3 season tent but could well be a 4 judging with how close to the floor it sits and also along with superb mess pole inserts to save them from snappjng under wind pressure.
With it being cheaper than its sister the 2 man version Leon though why the heck not and purchased it for us to have a look at.
She's a big unit but still not too bad, you get a decent large bag it comes in that gives you no hassle at all in getting the tent back in to it. It's a two pole tent were the inner attches after the shell is erected which is a massive bonus.
There's mesh that reaches over each of the pole inlets to allow for wind in harsher conditions so for you guys who enjoy camping up high its a real plus point.
I also have my Kelly Kettle with me to cook up some real nice spicy food on a cold winters afternoon. On the menu this week is Chinese Salt & Pepper Chicken cooked over a wood fire using the Kelly Kettle cookset.
