Hi guys. ive been a LEO in South Arica for 25 years, i edc a glock 17 with +2 shoe on it and an extra 3 mags because Johannesburg is a hell hole and if i get into a gun fight (experience on and off duty) dictates that it is going to be a thrilling experience, i carry 2 or 3 knives because 1 is none and 2 is 1...3 is always better(Clint smith said so😁)...on duty is a battle zone so i carry a Beretta 92 with 6 mags i carry a R5 assault rifle (galil styled) with 1 mag in the rifle and a battle jacket with 2 extra 35 rd mags on it. ive worked at rapid response units and shootouts are regular so we have to be switched on 24/7.
Hi! Thanks for the comment! I love the South African accent. I’m one of the few Americans who can identify it lol! That’s quite a load out. do you have an issued vehicle to carry it all in? Clint smith is fun to listen to
@@justapatrolman4246 hi there, thanks fr the reply, no we don't have issued vehicles at all we all share the units, i carry a kit bag with all my kit in it and we move around from vehicle to vehicle as we go, it does get quite hectic at the end of shift when you are tired and now have to carry all your gear to your car to go home, but we have all been doing it for so long its like second nature we just do it. I've met a few American policemen and women via Instagram and cops of tiktok and we have chatted for a long time its awesome to share stories from incidents that have occurred while on duty, i look forward to watching your channel...great content by the way keep up the good work brother
Hi from 🇮🇪 2 cool friends who just happen to be police officers, can’t go wrong with an Omega Speedmaster .Very enjoyable and a new sub.Stay safe guys.
Bro, I'm 27 and going to the police academy in February. I have been watching your channel for a year now and man your demeanor is relaxing and you have a subtle mature sense of humor. I love your videos, man. Please, wish me luck.
Yo what's up. I just wanted to jump on here & say Y'all are heros man, idk how often y'all hear it, or if you believe it, but you most def are. I don't think some ppl truly understand what police, fire, emt have to endure pretty much daily. God bless y'all & stay safe✌🏼
If your last name is 🗡️ then that’s awesome. Thank you for the encouragement!! I personally don’t believe we are. We’re just people who do a job. I think of it as going to work, even if I love the job. We gripe about work just like everyone else at times. Again, thank you so much for the support. It really is nice to hear, especially on traumatic days
Great video and Great EDC. Can’t go wrong with either Sig or Glock. I work for a Sheriff’s Office in Texas and I esc a Glock 43x mos with a holsun and love it. Thanks for your service and stay safe. P.S. tell Jordan that Carmex tends to dry your lips out. And he needs to try Palmers coconut oil lip balm
Love the video! When you do decide to upgrade your off duty holster look into Last Line Of Defense. He makes some quality holsters, I just ordered one for my Glock 19 with the streamlight TLR7A and optics cut
As much as I love that guy and what he does, I’m not crazy about only having the single hook on the holster. I’m not crazy about that on my current holster lol. I like my holster to stay right where I put it without rocking back and forth. That applies especially with a gun+magazine type holster. But it’s nice to know you and I have the same interests! Thanks for your input. I value knowledgeable input very much
You know I hadn’t put much thought into the single hook, I’ll keep that in mind when it gets here and see if it moves around a lot with the mag/gun! I’m the same way I don’t want it to move at all so we’ll see how it does! If it doesn’t work out I’ll be looking into a TREX arms for sure! Stay safe man!
Excellent video. Usually get alot of clowning with two guys. Not LE guys usually two guys who work in a ginshop. More of a stand up rather than EDC video. Great job guys. To the point and entertaining. 👍
6:42 it almost sounded as if you were trying to speed him up hahaha!!! 7:18 sometimes I have my flashlight in my back pocket, but that's only when I don't have my belt on. (My belt has a flashlight pouch on it) 10:18 I actually didn't know they had rechargeable watches 10:51 I wear the same watch 24/7 😁
Thanks a ton! If you’re referring to getting ready physically, then definitely focus on aerobics and things that keep your heart rate up. Do circuit workouts and super sets. Multiple exercises at a time before you rest and start them over again. If you can run 2 miles without stopping (even if it’s super slow) then you’ll be fine. If you can run 2 miles without stopping AND mix in push-ups and burpees then you’ll be golden. Prepare mentally to return to school five days a week. That’s the academy. Except you’ll be learning legal stuff and how to write a report and such. You will have to pay attention and study on your own. There is no such thing as a stupid question. If you don’t know or aren’t sure, ask. Listen to your instructors and field training officers. Did I mention ask questions? Hope this helps. Need anything else, let me know. Make it happen! We need you
Just stumbled upon your channel. Love the content….. we have similar interest (guns, knives, watches, etc.)….. oh, I’m a cop too (14 years Honolulu Police Dept). Be safe brother🤙🏽
Hi! Glad you stopped by! And thank you for the time you spent watching my videos of questionable quality😂. Slightly jealous of your location not gonna lie.
1:13-1:15 I'm right handed and pretend to be wrong handed the majority of the time 😁 1:57 the first time I watched it and you said that it took me less then a second to figure out why hahaha!! 2:06 🤣
I know this is an older video but I’m a mix between you and Jordan. I’m weird about my right pocket being only for my phone and then left pocket holds my knife and keys and back pockets need to be empty just because I started getting back pain from sitting on my wallet for so long especially when riding motorcycle. I usually wear cargo pocket shorts or pants so the wallet goes into the left pocket. Also I used to be a cheapo sunglasses person and would go through like 10 pairs a year and served with guys who swore by Oakley and finally splurged and got a pair and they’re amazing. I’ve heard good stuff about costa as well. I’m also a knife whore and have probably like over 15 pocket knives/fixed blades.
Glad someone else is in the same boat we are! Adding stuff all the time and constantly trying to carry less of it or figure out ways to make it all happen😂
Hell, I am too😂 It’s hard to find time to make it happen. He and I are on the same shirt, so you’d think it wouldn’t be too difficult. ………I’ll be honest…it’s approximately two million degrees and two thousand percent humidity in Louisiana right now. We put all our “on duty” stuff on for twelve hours on a daily basis in that crap. It’s REALLY hard to get motivated to put it on while we’re off. I promise it’s coming though. Keep an eye out
@@justapatrolman4246 😂 And…THANK YOU BOTH for keeping folks like me SAFE! But you can’t be everywhere… so I train regularly with my firearm to prepare myself. Love your videos ❤❤❤
Thanks! We enjoy making them. And the way you see us in the videos is exactly how we are on the streets. Some of us enjoy our jobs and the interactions we have with people. Thanks for watching!
I'm retired military. Throughout my military career I owned a mixed assortment of sunglasses from your basic gas station cheapOs to a pair of Oakleys my wife bought me on my 46th b'day. Needless to say, the Oakleys beat the cheapOs. 😉
My 2 cents since I’m right handed my knife is always in my left pocket just in case I’m in a fight for my duty weapon then my knife is accessible with my left hand
Just going to say there are a bunch of lawsuits from officers and civilians over the Sig p320 firing a round at random. Some are saying it's from a drop or a sharp jar others are saying it shot them in the leg holstered while driving or riding in patrol cars. Appendix carrying that p320 is a real danger to something we all try to protect as men if you catch my drift. Not trying to bash Sig Sauer they make great guns. I'm a big fan of hammer fired semi-autos so I inherently like Sig pistols. Maybe check out the p365 or p365 XL as a little safer of a replacement.
Haha yep I’m aware of those incidents. That was a common occurrence when the 320 was released. As far as I’m aware, Sig ironed those issues out relatively quickly. His 320 is a pretty new one, so it (theoretically) should be good. I did pass on your comment to him. He did not know about this stuff until then. He was surprised, but he feels confident in his gun since it’s a newish one.
Totally off topic of the edc conversation can you ask officer Jordan what he did to get better for the 1.5 mile run test to get in, larger guy myself and have been struggling to get the entrance time I need for the run
Glad you replied. It reminded me to answer you. He says he ran the 1.5 mile two or three times a week. He says the key it to just not stop running, no matter how slow you have to go. In other words, as long as you don’t walk, you’ll build up your endurance
@@justapatrolman4246 bro I used to carry a vertex ready pack full of stuff. The thing weighed a good 15 pounds. Got rid of that and stuck to simple stuff. Knife or multi tool, wallet, phone, keys, watch, sunglasses, AirPods, hellcat with a holosun 507k and spare mag
Me, I'm the opposite, I'm right handed but try to blend in with all the lefty's hahaha. I text with my left hand or use my phone with my left hand. (When I decide to use one hand) I happen to use my left for a lot of stuff. Even shooting alot of times, I even happen to be a better left hand shooter than I am right. I am a better left hand swinger when it comes to a hammer, I'm practicing using my left hand for writing as well. Lol I even have to have my watch on my left wrist, for some odd reason it is very uncomfortable with it on the right Lol
That’s a super simple lanyard. I just tied a couple knots in a piece of leather cord. I made the bead out of a bronze tube. I just put the texture on it. I have some other lanyards on my stuff that are more complex.
@@justapatrolman4246 to be honest, I actually thought you said the brand of your sunglasses were Oakley shock 2 lol I found out what they really were when I looked them up 😁 I actually like them, they're pretty and cool! 😁
I ground off the factory texture with a dremel. Then I made a flat tip for a soldering iron. I drew straight lines on the frame where I wanted the texture. Then I used the soldering iron with the flat tip to follow the lines
@@justapatrolman4246 That's just as well because I am a police Sgt.from Australia & I really need my eyes 😁love that pen though.Stay safe out there Brother. 🚔❤️
I seem to do the same thing with my knives. Either switch daily or weekly. I have about seven but only use five most of the time. Which, most of the time I have all five with me at work or home, and the other two are always at home. 😁 I'm a knife person, I like to collect them for some odd reason, at least the pocket ones, for now, till I'm older, then I'll go for any type 😁😁
@@justapatrolman4246 ooooo!!! I actually thought about doing a video with all my knives. (Except for one) I'll leave the big boy out.(just for safety reasons) I thought about getting a few more and adding them to my collection as well 😁 At least I'm old enough to purchase pocket knives and the smaller "play" ones 😁 Next year I'll be able to get the bigger ones. This year seemed to fly by as fast as last year lol I barely remember the age 8×2.
@@justapatrolman4246 hahaha, yeah. I actually thought this year would be slower than last, but I guess not Lol Age 5×3 seemed to go by slow but when I hit 9×2-2 it seemed to fly by so fast. Lol
@@justapatrolman4246 ha George costanza is a character on the Seinfeld show he had a wallet so thick he had to balance it with napkins in the other back pocket lol I was referring to your partners leather wallet 😂
No, his brother told him that if he was going to get rid of the gun, he would be the first to get the chance to buy it. When that day came, he did buy it. He only bought it once, and it was from his brother lol.
Awesome 😁😁 I've liked the law Enforcement since I was little 😁😁 Thank you for your service!! 😀😀 I myself am a glock person 😁😁 Since I saw the one my dad had, and the ones the law Enforcement carried I've always wanted one. I sure cant wait till I'm at least 21 😁😆
@@justapatrolman4246 hey, I had a few questions, First question: are you a State, Village, or County officer? Second question: do you think your Department would allow you to make a tour video of your patrol car? And last question: (for now), I was wondering, I've seen it in a lot of movies, why is it that some law Enforcement officials like the CIA, FBI, Detectives, (not sure if the CIA or FBI are considered law Enforcement, but, I'll just add them 😄) anyway after that big list there, um, why is it that whenever they hold up their badge-wallet-type thing they always have their hand covering their identification?
@@justapatrolman4246 one other question, um, would it be illegal if I was to make a video of me being in my "Police Uniform"? (Not sure if the quote is before or after the question🤔🤨) but anyway, I came up with an idea to make a video of what I usually do during my off days, (taking care of the chickens) and was wondering if that would be illegal with me being the age I am.
If you’re planning on making people think you’re a police officer, then that would be impersonation. But it sounds like what you’re wanting to do is simply dress like a LEO sort of like someone might do on Halloween. If that is the case, then no, you’re fine:)
@TFUSION ohh, I know Lol, yeah, I know I was just saying, "FTP" is not me, I'm actually with them, not against them. That's what I was meaning lol I knew you were just answering my question:)
