Behold!! Before you beeth all manor of objects that officers who upholdeth the laws of this land carryeth whilst they laboreth in their devine duties… #equipment #gear #police #cop #edc
Microtech Ultratech i haw him but im in EU so it colect dust 😂and it cost 400€ . Totaly stupid to buy, also I don't beliwe in that spring. And all scrues are made in house so I can't ewen disesembled him . First and last . But I cary my 940 Banchmade:))
@k9teamzagrebskolazapse149 that’s an expensive ultratech! They’re around $280 here for a basic one. This one was significantly less because they do a deal for law enforcement. I’m sorry you can’t carry yours. If you could, I think you’d be much more confident in it. I have three microtechs and they all have worked well. I also have disassembled all of them using a tool from Amazon.
Awesome natural content. I'm from NC. I've been doing research and gaining knowledge about becoming a police officer. My youngest son paw retired after 35 years of service. My thoughts on becoming an officer never dome on me until, I started working beside the unit and feel a strong sense of turning it into a career. I'm preparing mentally, physically, spiritually etc. for the next journey in life. I turn 30 Sept. 1st definitely have a different outlook on life going through trails and tribulations. Appreciate the vlogs. Maybe I'll start a vlog. P.S. Officer Jordan upgraded the garmin to apple lol. Y'all be safe out there!!! #Protect&Serve
Oh man!! I remember my first kid! That’s was a mean yet hilarious trick!🤣 you guys should try to keep the EDC videos coming. I don’t know of any other officers doing the EDC stuff.
Hahaha yea it was fun doing that but I’d have been slightly put off had it been me. We can certainly try to keep making that kind of content. The bad thing is that it really doesn’t change much. I started carrying a leatherman skeletool since we did the off duty carry but that’s about the only thing that’s different. If you have any suggestions for me I’m always open.
Love your videos nice to see two police officers explaing what work they do the uniforms are cool keep up the great police work just wondering if you wear body cams kym
Thank you! I really need to do an update to this video. We were in the process of implementing body cams at the time we made the video. I had not gotten one yet. They are fully integrated into our equipment now though
@@justapatrolman4246 For people that are more difficult. It gives them a little less wiggle room to try anything. I also think chained are easier to slip under your feet to get the cuffs in front of you.
Hey man, those mag springs are gonna go out super soon on those magpul 21rds not to mention the non metal feed lips not super solid. I recommend Glock factory mags with the baseplates that come with the enhanced spring, or the 19 rd Glock mags for budget . Ultra ultra reliability
Interesting fact: Those side pockets you're talking about I believe are meant for slappers or saps, most departments have made them against policy to have but some still use them. Their weighted leather pouches that are great to use in CQC from what I've heard from cops who work for the few agencies that carry them, I'd suggest you see if your agency has a policy against them and look into getting one as I've heard they are very useful in CQC in comparison to an ASP.
I carried a blackjack for years, very effective in a fight but they were outlawed in the last 10 years of my 30 year career (retired in ‘97). When I began my career all we carried was a revolver, 12 extra rounds, cuffs & a baton. No portable radio until much later. Cops today carry a LOT of gear with them.
You guys should look at getting the guardian angels. It’s a shoulder strobe light in whatever colour you choose to get that has many features including flash light S.O.S and more so you can keep your hands freed up on a stop if you need a light or to read a DL. If you get it in white to front and red/blue to rear you can have full white flood to front or turn the red light on so it’s not to bright to read better. Just a suggestion, have seen a lot of officers getting them and being incredibly useful to keep hands free, purchased a couple for myself as I work roadside and have been struck before because drivers are to focused on what’s going on rather then what’s in front of them, so it’s nice to have. Also those ResQMe tools are wicked. I’m a tow op and have been on many crashes before first responders can get there and have used that tool to bust the window of the doors are jammed. Hasn’t failed me in the 8 years I’ve had it
I’ve seen those and thought about getting one. They’re sort of expensive tho. One thing I forgot to mention in the video was my shoulder mounted white/red light for the very purpose you’re describing. Definitely a good thought
I’m on the job 2nd year in Philadelphia… and all that kit on your vest I wear on my duty belt . Department is talking about ordering the same gear vest’s you guys are wearing , I hope so… most be super comfortable not having your mag pouches and other issued gear pushing up into your body armor when driving all day
@@justapatrolman4246 I have to admit (even though I've seen it in some of your other videos) I do very much like your watch! It's cool 😁 I think I'll be leaving a million and one comments here 😁😄 All your videos happen to entertain me, that's pretty much what I watch over the weekend hahahaha (Friday night and Saturday night) 😁 Honestly, I'm not exactly sure what I'd be doing at night on the weekends if I didn't subscribe to your channel, or should I say, meet you on discord first hahaha I'd probably end up going straight to bed or even play a few games then crash lol Since I met you I've been well entertained 😁
WHo's idea was the labor bit ? "Any Leakage" I love it. As a medical professional I appriciate his assesmemnt . He understood the assignment. Could you do a part 3?
That was my idea. I talked his wife into it just before we did the video. He had no idea. There will be a part three because a ton has changed since this was made😁
Lol you guys rock. I’ve been a sheriffs deputy for 20 years. I’m impressed on the content. This is an awesome video. Lol we need this humor guys. It’s easier getting in and out of the car with the taser on the vest. Just a suggestion. Stay sade
Thanks a ton! And I completely agree. Humor is just below Godliness. Things have changed since I made this video as far as my vest goes. I don’t really have room for it. I would also have to buy the Molle compatible mount myself
@@justapatrolman4246 heck yes. Give me a second. I’ll find it. The department gave me a Blackhawk one that took up way too much. So I got a single and throes it on.
If you guys can run red dot optics on your pistols at work i would highly recommend! A vast majority of us have transitioned to them. Also staccato for on duty pistols if you can, but that preference of course.
If I could carry a staccato I would!! They won’t let us carry a single action only gun (guess they don’t consider that a Glock is basically single action with one less safety than the 1911 platform). And we’re working on red dots. They just started issuing duty weapons a couple years ago and didn’t get the MOS version. A few of us are pushing to have our fleet of G17s milled. Thanks for the input!
@@justapatrolman4246 Bummer, yeah I’ve been running a staccato on duty for almost 3 years now. Like 20 percent of us run red dots and we’re pushing for G17 department wide with red dots to the masses. It will greatly benefit for sure! Try and push those 2011’s bro 😂
Question, don't you worry about a bullet ricocheting off the gear on your vest? I had switched to a molle vest and moved the majority of my gear off my belt, but then I thought about the whole point of wearing armor is I hope I'm shot there, and if I have a bunch of metal things attached to it, it kinda defeats the purpose. IDK, love to hear your thoughts, cuz I am starting to have issues with sciatica and pain in my lower back, which I heard the load-bearing vest was designed to mitigate.
I absolutely do not worry about that. Reason being, none of the things on my vest are hard enough to deflect a bullet. Even the handcuffs won’t do much. The bullet will go through them like butter. And even if one did ricochet off of something, it would be spall that got me. Again, I don’t think the odds of that are even measurable. For me, the benefits of the load being on my upper body outweighs the minuscule risk. If you think about it, military guys carry much more stuff on their torsos than I do. How many stories have you heard where a round bounced off a magazine or something and tagged the guy or one of his buddies? And they tend to get shot at more than me (theoretically😂). Good question! I had not actually thought about that, so thanks for the inquiry. That’s one way we learn. I’m asking for questions on my discord. Would you mind if I used this one in a Q&A video? And if that’s ok, do you want me to give you a shoutout?
Very nice loadout guys ! I have a genuine question. Why is it illegal for us civilians to carry OTFS but you are allowed to carry them? I love microtech. I have a few. I carry my chris reeve umnanzaan and my esse izula with my stream light wedge.
The knife legality depends on the state you’re in. Here in Louisiana anyone can carry an OTF. But I think they should be legal everywhere. They’re no more “dangerous” than any other knife. It sounds like you need to do a collection video!
Too many knives and no back up gun, not good. Ditch two of three knives and get a back up. A S&W 642 J-frame Airweight is awesome. It’ll never jam nor require the use of two hands to clear a malfunction. It’s the perfect hide-out weapon. I’m on year 33 (retiring shortly) and still carrying a j-frame, even though I don’t work street patrol any longer. I’m so used to carrying two guns on duty that no matter the assignment I’ve worked, I feel naked without a back up handgun on me.
@@justapatrolman4246 On my department (10,000 sworn), we’ve had dozens of incidents where the back up gun saved the cop’s life. (Yes, I said “dozens”). Some circumstances you will need one, here’s some examples: -Gun take-aways; -fighting to maintain possession of your primary weapon while wrestling that bad guy on the ground; -huge major malfunction with your primary in the middle of a gunfight and where a simple tap n rack isn’t going to cut it (a knife won’t do crap for you in a gun fight). -the loss of your primary during perhaps a fight.; -your primary “gun hand” is suddenly incapacitated (like shot) and you can’t use it to go for your holstered gun. Therefore with your non gun hand, you retrieve a back-up weapon to defend your life. With my agency a back-up is preached like the use of a vest is. Nobody goes 10-8 without one. Heres 4 more reasons to carry a back-up gun. These four books which are all written from true incidents where a backup gun was or was not used (but wished they had one). They will open any cop’s eyes wide and make you think of your family and you’ll wonder, “why don’t I carry a back-up gun?” I highly recommend. -“The Onion Field,” by Joseph Wambaugh -“Jim Cirillo’s tales of the stakeout squad,” by Paul Kirchner. -“FBI Miami firefight,” by Edmundo & Elizabeth Mireles -“Echos of Shannon Street,” by James R. Howell. The first book and last book (especially the last book on my list) will rock you into thinking, “why didn’t I carry a back up sooner? Stay safe brother.
I’ll definitely find those books. Hopefully they have an audio version. That’s one thing I like to do while I’m riding around. Thanks for the input man
@@justapatrolman4246 You bet. I’ve got a couple more months left, then I’m done at 34 years. I still can’t fathom how drastically of a change the profession has evolved into.
Yep I understand. People may think I’m itching to use a knife on someone just because I have three of them on me at work. But that’s definitely not the case. It’s just options and preparation. I have yet to get a protech but I have played with one that belongs to a friend. Can’t remember which one it is off hand. They’re nice knives if his is any indication. Which one do you have?
@@justapatrolman4246 I have the Protech Arcform Slimfoot auto. It’s a sheepsfoot blade, great for slicing and cutting tasks, not good for piercing. And I totally understand carrying 3 knives. A knife is just another tool no matter what the job is, I carried a Microtech OTF for the longest time being a maintenance technician. It just worked for me.
@@justapatrolman4246 no I had a buddy that was a huge Microtech collector, and he offered to trade me a couple watches for my Microtech. I have a extensive knife collection so I took him up on the offer. My main carry lately has been a ASK by Askknives/Medford, and a Medford Smooth Criminal. It all depends on the day tbh on what I’m grabbing lol.
My grail knife right now is a praetorian ti. I want it almost bad enough to sell off my knives lol I’m a watch guy too. Sounds like we have some of the same interests
I’ve only used a baton one time. It was to break a window. It also looks bad when we hit people with sticks. I HATE oc spray lol! If there’s the slightest bit of wind then everyone gets it. And if I have to transport someone who was sprayed, then my head is out the window the entire trip. I do have a fogger in my bag, but I don’t carry oc on my person
It’s an aegis mod with a “big beast” tank…or something. I can’t remember exactly. And as for the flavor, I don’t remember. But it was likely something fruity lol. I’ve since stopped vaping and gone back to dipping. I got pneumonia for the second time (likely not due to vaping), and my lungs aren’t the same as they were before
@donaewestonpiperjr.4575 hahaha! Even if I did have some, would you really trust ME to give you advice? I’ve “quit” nicotine about 47.3 different times. And here I am🤣
@@justapatrolman4246 ohh okay sorry. I got confused for a second because I saw something on the news about it and noticed he looked familiar lol. By the way like your channel dude!
We are definitely not in the middle of nowhere hahaha. For some reason body cams were slower in adoption in north Louisiana than where I came from in south Louisiana. I absolutely miss having one. It has so many benefits and no negatives unless you’re a bad cop. Thank you for your support! 🙏
Not to sound like an asshole but I am an armed security officer and my gear is better. Of course only the uniform is agency issued and I had to buy my own gear. And I bought top shelf stuff that costs me a pretty penny.
I haven’t shared anything sensitive. I’ve done much less sharing than shows like Cops and Live PD have done. What I shared was a drop in the bucket compared to the reality of the job. But I’m hoping it helped someone view you and I as human instead of cold blooded racist killers like much of society thinks we are currently. That’s the purpose of all my videos. Not sharing the basics of what we do is part of the reason we have such a bad rep at the moment. Think of this video as a ride along. My agency offers them to the community (with a background check and liability paperwork). A ride along would expose someone to much more than this video did.
didnt cost you anything...lol...good one mr. copper. Why not say thank you to the us, the people, who pay taxes so you can wear $200 pair of boots and be comfortable?
Thank you for supporting whatever police department patrols whatever jurisdiction you’re in by paying your taxes. I highly doubt it’s mine, which means you paid nothing towards any of my equipment.
