Usually when someone talks about God, it turns me off. I run for the hills! I'm a big believer in God but I take it from a natural and down to earth way. You put the right angle in your videos and it's super good feeling stuff. I don't feel judgement or hypocrisy or fear or hate. That's true stuff and you're gold. And you made such a wonderful point in this video about us using what's been given to us and having good food in our homes. The seeds? Yep. In todays world, having quality heirloom seeds that haven't been radiated or contaminated is essential to our future health and freedom. I see you made this video 2 years ago. Well, if you've kept up with the news lately, you'll see you were way ahead of time / the events. Large corporations now are trying to pass laws where we can't even share seeds without huge additional costs and hoops to jump through. Control the food, control the people. You stay so positive and use that "girl power" to make it happen. I love it!

We did this a few weeks ago I purchased my apricots from boutiful baskets the weren't organic but I got 30 or 40 lbs so it was a family a fair. So great apricot is everyone's favorite. You can check out boutiful baskets on line they do have organic items and they are in that area I checked already in case we move.

Another great video. Nice to see someone else uses cayenne pepper (my most often used spice). One year, I dried my peppers and made my own flakes - seemed even hotter. I like the heat too, but it is also supposed to help with chronic pain. BTW, I like your scrunching - gives your videos a personal sense that you are talking directly to each viewer. I enjoy your, sometimes quirky, sense of humor also.

KT LeSur haha Im glad you enjoy the scrunching..Husband when he tries to film me says Im to tall..scrunch down I cant Fit your head in there..har har He's a real chamer....And yes..I like HEAT! I have tons of cayenne peppers so I will dehydrator them in my solar dehydrator...my homemade one!!(its works no frills) and I too will use the flakes!! Love it!

Hey Starry, here in NY I use a cherry pitter. Its a hand held devise that pits one cherry at a time, but it does a good job and I can do pounds in no time.

There is a nut that tastes like almonds if you crack them open. They are an anti cancer food You can also put the nut [not to many] in apricot jam.

They are hard to get, because the seeds have b17 in them that cures and prevents cancer. Many tests were done on the seed inside the pit, and the fda banned selling apricot seeds because of their healing properties. Most fruits have the b17, but apricots are the highest. You wouldn't want to eat more than 5 or so at a time because of the cyanide which is present in small amounts. God bless you Starry.

I ADORE spricots! Especially dried ones, but they can give me bad cramps because of the Sulphur dioxide in them. But I imagine that if you do it yourself, they would be Sulphur dioxide free! Could you do a video on apricot fruit leathers?

My investment needs ot be in my homestead if those neighbors decide to move..or die..or they dont want to share! Its like the people who brag about n ot having solar..and then they use their neighbors freezers or electricity to do stuff....well..one day they will be sorry. Invest in yourself...thats the best!! Starry- I love your channel! I have learned so much about gardening and canning from you! Is the sugar necessary to keep the butter from spoiling? My family eats a whole food, plant based diet, and we don't eat added sugar. I have been unable to find recipes for canning fruits without sugar, and I keep wondering if I can simply make them without the sugar...

so if you sterilize your jars for like 10 mins and your using hot food like your hot apricots butter to put into them do you have to water bath it for 10mins still? or can you just put upside down for 10-15mins then back up till it pops? thanks for all your helpful tips....blessings

You should look up aplets & cotlets, two Armenian brothers emigrated to Wanachee, WA and brought with them an Armenian delicacy. You can use your butters to make them and maybe keep Mr Wilder away untill the finall tasty treat is done.

That colour Oh beautiful!! You know you can crack that shell like an almond and there is a 'nut' inside that has the almond flavour? Can be roasted, slivered & used like almonds too. Is the amount of sugar not vital to the preserving process? And how long does it last once opened? Do you store it in the fridge then? Thank you.

If you ever, EVER have an over abundance of any of your canned goodies, please, PLEASE send me some? I don't think we can grow cherries and apricots here in north central Arizona. I's also love some of your celery flakes and pickled peppers. My husband and I LOVE that stuff(well actually he loves the hotter stuff than I do, but I still love peppers). Just a thought. Anne Apolis I think mj healthy living said it right....I do my intros usually scrunched because it gets me close to the camera to really talk to people..you know..up close and personal. I also don't have a tri pod or any-fancy stuff so I use a bucket!! Yep a 5 gallon bucket tipped upside down! I have fallen over a couple times..and the camera has also fallen down a bunch. I go thru alot of cameras..they get all smashed and scratched!! hahah no frills I guess. Hopefully I will get a tripod soon..will probably still scrunch down to see you guys up close!! my daughter and I LOVE YOU! but we need to knoe. how do you get your hair to look so good when you don't brush it? So totally not an insult. I hate brushing my hair. It's really long and thick... and I hate brushing it... so, what in God's green earth are you doing with it, to make it so you don't have to do anything with it?? Can you make a video about this? It's driving me nuts... and P.S. I love you :)

HAHA I always say GOD created this hair!! And I do have thick thick hair and it knots alot...so the dreads kinda come naturally..and they eliminate the need to brush....I have never been able to run a brush competly thru my hair...so i wash it and let it dry naturally..i have some wave in it..so the wavy stuff stays soft and doesnt knot..the rest..its all up to God and how i sleep!!HAHA

Nancy Coy Oh i see...I try to make people see how welcoming Christ is...often I get people w ho dont believe,,but one small seed is all it takes. I could get into theological arguments...I could preach and try to persuade people...I could drown on about evolution or their salvation...but that not the road God wants me to take..... for me showing people that GOD is love..first and foremost...will maybe one day spark something in them when they are in need.

Fruit tree seeds are unreliable. There is so much genetic diversity in fruit trees that the seeds of a single tree can produce a wide variety of offspring. If you grow from seed, you may get soft sweet apricots, or they may be hard and sour or big and bitter even if the seeds are all from the same parent plant. That's why professionals use cloning and grafting techniques to ensure a consistent product from one generation to the next.

Holly Laughter well think of this way...if i gave the seeds away it would cost me money for shipping ect. free is always scarfed up quickly. dont worry, it isnt a get rich deal. the couple dollars i recieive from the seeds will be going to a good cause, everybody is happy then!
