What's up guys! Today's video is an off season ski training, and how to get ready for the ski season! Ski season is right around the corner, so we need to start getting ready! Just like with any other sport, there's a pre season and an in season to skiing, and for some of us, our season is starting in a couple months! This pre season ski training gives you some plyometrics to build joint health and strength for skiing and tendon extensibility. It's also a full body strength training session, with some power stuff included as well. We do a lot of split stance stuff and unilateral stuff, really working on build the core for skiing and glutes!
ALSO, we're dropping our 6 week online SNOWBOARDING training program, called Shred From The Start! It's coming out Sept. 6, and it's going to have 6 weeks work of workouts, stability and balance exercises, mobility movements, and conditioning exercises! Stay tuned to hear more as we get closer! Enjoy the video!

Why do you do so much OH pushing and pulling exercises? Pulling might help with the rowing when skiing in a flat surface but I feel legs should be the main focus for injury prevention and endurance (more time skiing). Thanks for the video anyway!

This is a full body strength training so we have every movement pattern in there, lower and upper. We also start with plyometrics (amazing for injury prevention and skiing), and we incorporate a lot of leg strength on top of that! It's important to understand how the movements are performed, as well, with the power exercises being a lot of lower body force production, the landmine press having much core and glute strength and stabilization, the renegade row with core stability and body control, etc. This is full body, but taking everything into consideration, it definitely favors lower body while training the body to work together as 1 unit. Thanks for watching :)
