When I was 10, I randomly said that I wanted to be a girl. Seven years later, there is no shadow of a doubt that I can't see myself as anything other than a dude, and enjoy being who I am. Children have random desires and phases, letting a person as young as 5 decide makes no sense. Especially considering that not every child is born with diagnosable gender dysphoria, and many people will grow up never questioning their gender. Edit: This comment has got way too many likes for what it is. I still believe that theybies as a concept is flawed, but children can and should be allowed to socially transition if they please. Nothing children do to socially transition is permanent, and allows them to explore their gender identity. What I am strongly against is parents planting these ideas into children's heads, which is what the concept of theybies involves (but also rarely happens at all). But transgender children should be allowed to explore their gender as they are the world around them, and parents enabling that rather than provoking that is totally valid. Edit: Holy FUCK was I wrong, that thought I had when I was 10 turned out to be very true and I am now living as a woman in every single part of my life. So I guess the moral of the story is that while babies don't need to be gender neutral, literally any other point I was trying to make a few years ago has been debunked by... myself?

i feel like babies need to go through their childhood, experiencing their birth gender before they decide who they want to be. the uncomfortableness of being in the wrong body is what makes people figure out what gender they feel. if a baby is raised as a theybie, they will not find out what gender they want to be, if they are never given the chance to experience it (if that makes sense).

It's like an RPG, you have to be boy or girl at first then when your level high enough you can choose to change jobs 😂😂😂
