They knew. Look at the snipers on the roof. Being vulnerable from every position except for that one and staring directly at him for several minutes ( as seen on the tapes) instead of scanning 360. They knew and they were alerted!!! Watching only that spot and nothing else.

Let me get this straight. A local police officer climbed the roof, saw a man who pointed a weapon at him, and then retreated. This officer didn't have to be superman. All he had to do was climb down the ladder and immediately report this to the Secret Service. What an incompetent buffoon.

@@lewisner Yeah I got that too but you can actually stand on a ladder without holding on with both hands. I've done a lot of house painting and trust me on this. As soon as he came into sight of him he should've had his weapon drawn. He could hold on with one hand still. And how does a guy carry and set up an extension ladder without being seen or heard. They are somewhat noisy to set up. It was a police meeting area inside this building? This is nuts.
