Amari Hunter not true Aubrey stood up for all of the girls to Jason, and she stood up to Diddy’s team for the second album so they all could record songs that they really liked. No one is braver than Aubrey when it comes to fighting for the group.
@@uhuhuh1966 right. Dollhouse wouldn't be what it is AT ALL without her fighting for it. "you got a lot to say when I'm not on the room, what you gotta say? Say it now". She's boldddd
Like let's hand it to Dawn for having empathy because it takes real empathy to understand where the frustration of someone many people would call ungrateful for being upset and crying about this situation. Aubrey had every right to be upset at what was happening. When you are in a team but don't feel like you are getting the opportunity to contribute, you have all the right to feel upset. We all would be upset if that happened to us. So flowers for Dawn for recognizing that and telling her she has the right to feel how she is feeling.
RUDE-DEE was more than likely jealous of Aundrea’s pending success being a part of a international platinum selling girl group. You see it happen all the time in relationships---one is the star and the other one is just there in the background. Men can’t handle it when their women are succeeding and are naturally better at things than them. Puff was right about getting rid of their boyfriends because they’re a severe distraction. It was better for Drew’s relationship to fall apart NOW before she was knee deep into her career.
That’s what happened with lady Gaga too. He couldn’t handle her success as an actress. He was an actor but never was recognized to that level. She won a golden globe, he broke up with her lol.
@@luiqiespinosa I’d be annoyed too especially knowing Lady Gaga isn’t a good actress. Just because she is dramatic and can sing doesn’t make her good at acting. Everything she has been in has been nothing but mediocre at best lol
@@tinaamariee832 That explanation wouldn't work for me, be consistent with cutting parts. If you can write an entire bridge for Dawn, do something similar for me.
Juju unfortunately that’s not how the music industry works. The artist don’t own the song often times during these test sessions neither does the label. The producer owns the song & they have the freedom to do whatever they want with it. You’d be surprised how many of your favs have recorded versions of your favorite song. That’s just the game🤷🏽♀️
moviechick1416: Many different cuts are created of a track. The album version is the final presentation that was selected by the label executives. Maybe they felt all the background vocals and new intro was too busy. I would have thought it would cool, but, hey! It happens! 😪🤷🏾♂️
I think this is the moment that broke Aubrey, made her into the mess that she is today. I really don’t agree with the thought process that her voice “ruins” songs, she has a huge fan base that wants to hear her on records and she is not a bad singer, she made the group for a reason because she’s super talented. It seems to me that the vocal producers were just lazy and only wanted to record the ones in the group that could record the songs quickly. Like Aubrey said, give her the time she needs to deliver a performance that everyone wants instead of giving up. This is why, in my opinion, vocal producers should also be trained vocal coaches/teachers so they know how the voice works on an anatomy level so they know how to pinpoint the right direction to get the performance that they want. So many of these people working with singers are just music producers that know how to play a keyboard and drums and don’t understand the science behind the human voice.
They only had 5 weeks to record an entire album. They didn't have time to be going back and babying Aubrey's ego. From the first episode Aubrey knew she wasn't a strong vocalist. She had two seasons to progress before the recording of the album. She still sounds a mess vocally even on the new Danity Kane tracks. She's just not a good singer. She was off key and strained with Betty Wright earlier that season. Doc basically had issues vocally. She never progressed. She got into the group based of other things other than singing. Mainly her performance skills but vocally she was and still is weak
@@mtjproducer2008 just because she’s a weaker vocalist than the others doesn’t mean she’s tone deaf, she created a huge fan base from the show that wanted to hear her, at least she got to be a killer dancer on tour but that’s not going through an artist’s mind in the studio, what’s going through your mind is “...why am I not singing on any of these songs? Why did they even put me in the group if I have nothing to contribute? Why did I bust my azz just to have my art suppressed?” It’s fine to look at it from a marketing perspective but how about the human artistic side of things? It’s shitty, these are cheesy pop records and Britney Spears was the biggest of them all whose voice is nothing special, lather a bunch of effects on Aubrey’s voice and let the girl express herself
@@mtjproducer2008 go back and watch the first season she was far away from the worst vocalist, singing for the house nanny or with the live band at the club
@Benita Rodriguez she wasn’t a mess on the first couple seasons, she was practically the lead and one of the most solid performers out of everyone. Diddy saw the change clearly we all did
brian cox was just banking on every girl to just do it quickly without any expertise from himself.. his explanation to aubrey always felt lazy and rushed.
Please we all know that Aubrey and Shannon wasn't in the group because of their voices....they represent a certain image....The moment when u remember Scott storch and how he used to be worth 100million and now he is broke as fuck
We get in our own way. Thinking its all about us, over thinking shit, ego's, jealousy. We're our worst enemy. We will always dissapoint ... I feel it's human nature. We will sabotage ourself before we take off and win.
I don’t think there was anything wrong with the change for Dawn because she truly has a different tone. I feel Aubrey was e feeling herself and mediocrity was not what Bryan Michael Cox was looking for...🤷🏾♀️sorry not sorry 😐
SB She is entitled to her feelings but when coming before a producer like Bryan who is used to hearing powerhouses you have to bring it. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism and taking the time to perfect your craft instead of playing victim.
thank you for the upload.i used to watch these over and over again religiously on the other other channel lll779, just wondering if you know what happended to them
Because she could dance and had a great image at that time. However you’re right. She can’t really sing. Having a great image and be able to dance isn’t all it takes to be in a MUSICAL group 🤷🏻♂️
@________ i disagree. aubrey had star quality, and since she was there since the beginning her fame picked up rlly quickly before the group was even put together. melissa literally had no screen time, there was no way she could take aubreys spot at that point. but melissa was a way stronger dancer, voacally theyre equal but aubreys confidence sold it.
That’s why I laugh when people speak of favoritism toward Dawn. Aubrey AND Shannon both had spots cemented for them in the band. Meanwhile Taquita and others danced and worked so hard but “POP” for Diddy mean white. Andrea is White passing although she is Latina, plus 2 Blonds, neither of which could sing that well. That doesn’t mean Aubrey wasn’t a talent. She is. But not a voice so her being there at all is the height of favoritism.
Sleep on it is such an awful song 😂😂😩 edit: I mean it’s grown on me but watching it way back then I hated it lol. Rewatching the episode reminded me how much I hated it 😂
