Official Pandora Box DX 3000 n 1 Loaded Games 2020 Review

I got mine yesterday, I ordered it within 30 minutes of it going live on AliExpress and was super excited to get it. I've been through a lot of the stuff testing it out and I'm really mixed on it. Some stuff is great, some stuff was a real letdown. The pros are obviously the amount of console games included. Having the SNES and Genesis stuff along with a handful of 8 bit games is great and the emulation seems really well done on those. The new save states can be really useful, saving high scores is something people were begging for and it's now possible, and a lot of the games that are on the Pandora's Box 6 run better on the DX with less screen tearing and a handful have fixed audio (the original TMNT arcade game comes to mind first). The cons, in my experience, were more than I'm comfortable with at this point. Some mistakes in games that have been there for multiple generations still aren't fixed such as Mortal Kombat 3 STILL not having music along with a couple of other games I checked that had various missing sound effects the same as they did on the PB6. Some games that should be easy are still screwed up and had really bad screen tearing issues like Pac Land. But the thing that drove me crazy the most was the horribly inconsistent sound leveling and quality between games. Sometimes a game will have normal levels and my volume isn't an issue. Other games I literally have to turn it up to full volume in order to get it to a decent level (here's looking at all the Midway games like WWF WrestleMania) and then when I exit to the main games list, my speakers are about to blow out with the menu select clicks. It's the most annoying aspect for me personally. One other thing, it lists SNES Super Scope 6 as a game, and while it boots fine, it doesn't actually work. You can't play it with a normal arcade setup. If I remember correctly there was another light gun game like that as well, but I can't remember which one. Overall it's sort of up to personal preference if you consider it a worthy next step from the Pandora's Box 6. The addition of console games is awesome, I really enjoy that aspect and have very few complaints aside from the dumb Super Scope thing. What holds it back for me are technical issues with the sound, menu lag (the search function is a pain with the button response lag in the menus), and the usual Pandora's Box emulation quirks.

You should be able to set the AI with these newer boards. In the games settings. On the Pandora 3D, you can set the difficulty, lives, etc. And you can usually do it for either individual games or all games.

Hello, I have one question, i have pandora DX and yesterday when i wanted to run it load logo but wont start system with games, i just see black screen. Does anyone know what is problem? Tnx

The only game that only plays the demo is 001. All other games play fine.

you can add favorite games but not access to the favorite list ! save state : you can do it one time , you need to save good.

I’m trying to get an answer to this question from anyone I can; so, this may be random... I just got my Pandora Box Dx (jamma). But, my NBA Jam, NBA Jam Tournament Edition, and NBA Hangtime are SNES/Genesis ports. Do you have any idea why others have the arcade ports of these games and mine doesn’t?

SO.... got it....installed it. STILL NO SPLATTERHOUSE and Vulcan venture is missing. So I got the roms and installed them as instructed. Vulcan venture shows up in the list but black screens on start up....gauntlet black screens. In fact EVERY game I try black screens. Splatterhouse doesnt even show up in the list! I thought original versions were supposed to be better than bootleg versions. Also ALL the games are on the U drive. If I remove it, it wont boot. If I remove it with the machine on...it just shows an empty menu so I cant do any reformating of the USB or anything. What is on the onboard memory card? Bit of a wasted upgrade really. EDIT....I've also noticed some games run badly. Side scrolling games like Rastan and shinobi now have a slight shudder when they scroll. Almost imperceptible but the 6s was smooth as butter. Also ghosts and goblins has messed up sound. So...my final review. Not good. The pros (saving games and accurate naming) are spoiled by the cons, cant add games that work with juddery 2d games). Going back to my pandoras box saga12.

Stay tuned. I plan to release a video very soon showing all the games on the menu......you know......in case people dont want to go online and search for an actual list......they can waste about 15 min of their life looking at the video I will post.

3000 games in 1 is misleading. About 1500 games are console games (nes, genesis, snes, ps1), and about 500 of the games are strange japanese titles like majong. In reality it only have about 1000 true arcade games. The rest of it you most likely will never play. Its a pain in the ass to take away all the games you dont want. Keep this in mind before spending your money.

if i plug a usb flight joystick will it work for flight simulator games? If it doesn't if i get the arcade flight joystick how can i make it work for 1UP when i play a flight simulator game? Thanks.

All games that I've tried so far seem great- However noticed that Sonic The Hedgehog has a 50 second level timer.. not sure why but makes the game pretty unplayable.

Are you able to add Super famicom and megadrive roms to this pandoras box that aren't already on there via usb?

First impression...impressed. pros...looks not to be loads of renamed duplicates there. No heterogeneous fighter 42 instead of 1942! Like the menu lists of game styles. Like the console games included. Adding new games....makes the missing game issue void. Cons...not alphabetical? Makes it easier to go straight to your games (had that in my 6s) but I guess the search feature solves that. Still....would have liked the option to do it. Maybe have custom controller setups for different consoles now they are included (so SNES games have their own mapped layouts that automatically changes). Still...looks good. Questions.. ....is screen tearing still an issue on games like rastan and shinobi? ...does outrun and mortal combat run full speed? Il have mine soon. I'm just impatient..lol

HONEST REVIEW...PLZ READ After buying this and playing for many months. My review is. 1)This is not worth paying over £100 2) The games are ridiculously hard even on the easiest setting eg. Gem fighter Street fighter 3 X-men vs street fighter Kof etc 3)the games are NOT arcade originals there nothing like the arcade games or console versions. 4)there is like 40 versions of king of fighters and there still all totally crap...the PlayStation one version piss all over them. 5)over 1000 games you will not even look at. 6)the restrictor gates are glued into place. Took me days to swap the round gate for an octo(8way gate) 7)the buttons are really really bad. Cost me £40 to put sanwa ones in. 8)there are about 100 good games worth playing so if you are big fan and must have buy it but dont expect too much or big things. Especially if ur a big fighting game fan.. you'll be disappointed HONEST REVIEW

thanks moomert for the upload, still a bit disappointed.. where is Arcade versions of Mk 2, Mk3, and UMK3? where are all the atomiswave games such as KOF XI? would love to see more ps1 games emulated since the pandora box seems to emulate ps1 games much better than the ps1 classic itself. I own pandora box 3D saga and 3D 2448 games; both great boxes, but I want to have more because they have been at these pandora boxes for 5-6 years now or even longer.

hi i bougt this box and the only thing i see is no tf or udisk on screen . plug in the udisk that was in the package nothing happens. i read in coments i need files and contact the seller but no answer. were i can get the files ? Sry for my bad english . Many thx for any help....
