I made a joke about a mixed reality yu-gi-oh when I saw a batch of VR RU-vidr cards shared by Jaybratt (though the reference went over his head lol). But similar tech was used back on PS3 with the game "Eye of Judgement" so I'm confident it CAN be done. If they made this, or Magic the Gathering, etc as a mixed reality game - that would boost both VR AND card sales
I’m hoping Bandai puts their hat into the ring with Digimon. Digimon is canonically connected to the real world via internet as it is. So that franchise would ABSOLUTELY thrive in a VR setting.
If you have a pc I highly recommend duel monsters vr (dmvr) it isn’t officially supported so it doesn’t have all the cards but it’s still an awesome multiplayer social/ dueling experience
I'm so going to have fun with it when it comes out and hope that I can play with ps5 VR2 also can you make an upgrade video about this because I really want to know about this more
I realy hope it has a campaign, like the bakugan battle brawlers game. If it could have consequences for losing too, like good and bad routes, it would be abwolutely amazing Also, I am going to be running with my boi dark magician, no matter comes

As far as I can tell it's still playing but this year's at 25th anniversary year so they're making a lot of announcements for different things like the ycs this year so it may be a minute till we hear anything back specifically on this title
I played yugioh duel links and now there is going to be vr game as well awesome that would be the ultimate game for you to get to be part of the game itself I love simulation games
Question is what ruleset they're going to be using? I'm sure they'll have to simplify the rules and cut down the number of cards in the game because aren't no way they'll animate every single cards and create long turns that can potentially battery out your opponents headsets.
I would like some avatar customization since while playing as anime characters is fun and all you don’t get to see the player behind said anime character plus having customization for your own duelist some of which unlocked via dueling a certain way or completing a certain story mode would be kind of cool and make people want to play the game
I have a feeling they won't just because of the sales. Console sales are just higher than VR and nintendo is known for being greedy with their rushed pokemon games. If this VR game launch and become super successful I think it's possible there's a chance nintendo notices and make their own VR?
It looks like a nice tech demo, but with the sheer quantity of cards that exist in Yugioh at this point, I highly doubt every single creature will be as lively as DMG in this vid. This will mean one of two things: 1. The game will feature a very small card pool, limited to popular creatures/archetypes from probably only DM and GX. 2. If they actually go for every card, most creatures will have VERY basic animation, with nicer animation reserved exclusively for popular cards. And like, to me, either outcome is super disappointing. I won't be able to have Battlewasp - Pin the Bullseye buzz around me or react to my opponent as I'm thinking on my next move or setting up a combo. Since I play exclusively rogue decks, my cards are gonna be really lifeless and underwhelming compared to what's popular, which would be pretty disappointing.
Yeah so I don't think they're promising to have every card in the game or anything like that they'll probably do something like with the mobile games where they introduced a small pool of cards and build it over time
It's a card game, way better then Pokemon but a bit less then magic the gathering. (Probably opinion I haven't properly played yu gi oh for at least a decade, probably 15 years at this point)
I already have Yu-Gi-Oh duel links on my phone maybe they should add this in an update to the Yu-Gi-Oh VR world to connect to Yu-Gi-Oh duel links from your phone to the VR headset, that would be sick!!
Ok about the tributes remember original rules , pre kiabas battle city tournament rules didn't require it and inside kiabas game you could summon whatever monster you wanted when you wanted if anyone remembers. And I think it would be cool if because of the mixed reality there are only avatars if you are playing against someone that isn't standing in front of you
